wife told me no to the headers:nonod: its pretty rusted to the head, im kinda scared to try:eek:
the stud is below the surface unfortunatly on both manifolds. i tried to drill and remove them on the passenger side with no luck. on that side the bolt will go all the way through so i just...
so today I got the tranny out of my s10 to replace. and well the exhaust was fused with the manifolds basicly I tried soaking with wd40 and heating it but still ended up breaking 3 of the 4 bolts hooking it to the manifold. should I just attempt to drill them out or pull the manifolds off and...
awesome! I know you feel you just spent a lot of money on her, which you did. but look at it like this man, you now have all them parts under warranty and were rebuilt to oem specs. so to be honest if your keeping the truck for 3 years at least you just made a very good investment in it...
Ill have to ask my dad tomorrow. he had it in and done before i got home from work:smile5:
and yes it was the switch, but we will see it has only been two days...
what do you think is the most cost effective stuff i should look for, i know a 4bt but the nv4500 has so many variants i have no idea which would be the cheapest overall to convert!
I have my mind set on the NV4500 definatly now after reading more about them online. I guess I really need to look into t-cases as well as you mentioned. This build will not happen any time soon, I am just getting a good idea of what I am going to do.... Will the factory axles handle a diesel...

well it did it again today. I emailed gmpartsdirect with my vin and such to get the correct part number for the switch and a new serpentine belt while I am at it. Hopefully this corrects the issue.
you guys crack me up.... well it happened again when my wife drove it this weekend. should i start by replacing the switch? if so is it the one mounted on the door that you use to select high med low? and when you say bcm would that mean just a reflash if the switch does not solve the prob?
