Ok I'm seriously considering the idea of just leaving my 6.2 N/A for now but running my 6.5 turbo heads on it, is there any negitives to this idea or should I just buck up and run arp studs with the original n/a heads and swap the turbo heads on later when I do the turbo conversion? More then...
Hmmmm wonder if I could have him do a tune for my truck then after I finish with the other mods (electronic boost control and exhaust)

Heh I know who you are talking about now, Just didnt realize he did anything with our trucks, I have seen him mentioned on Gmt400 on a couple of the boosted gas trucks on there.

Oh yea! The package from leroy is already in canada, hopefully canada post gets it here by the end of the week so it can be installed with the relocation kit.

Niiiiice! Gotta love technology! Kinda wish it was this simple to tune my obd 1 ecm. My truck came with a spare one which is original to the truck, When it got the '95 engine it got the comp from that same truck.

The friend I bought the truck from is an old friend of my fathers who taught me a lot of what I know about vehicles in general, However when it comes to the Gm diesels we have long since past the point where I have started to teach him what I have learned from here. In fact I have already...
Ahhhh ok. So really i'm adding a minor increase in fueling with the new resistor. Prob not a noticeable amount but at least its a step in the right direction especially if i decide to add a bigger turbo later on.
Ok i ordered a new PMD w/relocation kit from Leroy on the 5th and it is coming with a #9 resistor in it. Now i have a #6 in my current PMD. What i was told by the previous owner of the truck was that i need to have my Resistor matched to the one in the ECM of the truck otherwise i risk burning...
Whoops! sorry man! I think i was kinda half dead and still pissed at the truck from last night to remember that lol. I made the same error in my own build thread which was updated around the same time i posted that post last night lol. I do recall using the correct name before but it slipped my...
Welp...time for a new PMD which i ordered a Flight Systems PMD and relocator kit from larry yesterday...Now to wait for it to arrive lol. Im pretty dang sure my current problem is the PMD. The current one is mounted inside the air box and after the truck has sat idling for more then 20 min or...
If it was a consistant problem I would consider that a cause, but now it did it again last night after sitting idling for about 15 min at one location then driven home and not allowed to cool before taking off again and wind up sitting for another 20+ min, I figure the pmd is over heating...
Im thinking this is either PMD or something that got wet when it shouldnt have. I took it to the car wash last friday and i wound up sitting and waiting for 35 min+ in line to get into the car wash. Had the truck idling most of the time to move further ahead in line. Not long after i was done...
