    Quick Spool Crossover Pipe

how about welding some sort of cone shape , or a 2 1/4 to 2 inch exhaust adapter to the inside end of pipe or weld to a flat spacer that would sandwich between pipe and manifold. That way you could remove it and modify it if needed. That should accelerate exhaust flow right at the turbo inlet...

    Guess how many miles

All of my diesels looked like that under the valve covers; Oldsmobiles, Chevys, and GMCs. I've always used Mobil Delvac 1300 series 15W40. 5000 mile oil changes. All but the current one with over 200,000 miles

    swapping a bw4401 to replace a 241c

has anyone done this? I got a 1993 k3500 xcab dually with the bw4401 with a gear vendors od. My k2500hd has a 241c. GV wants 850 exchange for the 241c adapter. I was thinking of swapping the GV and transfer case. NOW the problem is?? The k3500 torsion bar support crossmember has a rearward bow...

    bed rug

I've had this for 6 months now. Love it; especially the padding under tail gate portion. Makes it real nice on the knees. It has a lifetime warranty. I don't haul gravel or dirt, but they claim you can with no ill effects. It also quiets the truck down(I have a cap).

A Team Turbo A Year Later

with that many miles have you removed and cleaned radiator and flushed out AC cond while radiator is out? They can have a great deal of dirt in them and not look that dirty. Then exhaust and cooling upgrades. Also, use some kind of water wetter; I use Nalcool. There is one made by Royal...

Well, finally hit the limit and it's egt's....

Oh, and if you want ss 4" exhaust, I bought mine from SS Diesel supply; it is a very nice system and very reasonably priced for ss. I added some better, heavier hangers and band clamps for easier removal. Some here don't like that company, but I was satisfied with the exhaust. Louder than stock...

Well, finally hit the limit and it's egt's....

you need to get that 4 inch exhaust installed. Lower back pressure and more power, and should lower egt some. Also get that water injection put on. It'll take care of the high exhaust temps. You will need a good sized reservoir for your water supply or you'll be filling the tank frequently on...

    1995 k-3500 i want to add cruise control ?

why couldn't you attach the throttle pull cable to your gas pedal? There are dip switches on the control unit to adjust rate of throttle response. Those rostra units are great. I adapted one to my cycle with great results. You looking at the vacuum or electronic one?

Thumping intake, stalling, driveability issues, HELP!

carefully check the exhaust port temps at exhaust manifolds. You should be able to determine which side has the problem. Tapping noise?? Sounds like a broken rocker arm or lifter or spring on exhaust valve. The old 5.7's would thump if this happened. Usually a rocker arm with them.

    busted rear window

Sorry, my last one was an 86 and it had the gasket. They make a tool for removing it, but to clean up the mess that you have now, use a heat gun to soften the old mastic and work it away with a plastic or nylon scraper. Clean up with solvent. Have one of those glass installers remove other...

    busted rear window

it should be a rubber one piece gasket. You put replacement glass in old gasket, put a cord in the groove in the gasket and pull it out slowly as you install window and gasket as an assembly. Personally, I'd find a good used sliding rear window assembly and put it in . Craigs list or Ebay. Or...

How to install 98-01 Dodge towing mirrors on a GMT400

The comments are for ones contemplating their use. Seeing them in person gives a much better idea of their size. Just go to a mall parking lot and search one out. Also consider a rear view camera on the trailer/camper. They are reasonable now, have models with night vision also. Have one on rear...

    Another Towing Mirror Question

I would think installing a camera on the TOWED item would work better. You could also install one at back of tow vehicle to assist hitching up probably. Some of the monitors are setup for more than one input so you could switch back and forth as needed. BTW, I looked again today. The mirrors in...

    Another Towing Mirror Question

My buddy got a set of the optional towing mirrors for his 2005 Duramax and gave me the stock ones that can be pulled out for towing. He got a fifth wheel trailer and those stock mirrors won't extend enough. He put on the new ones and they go out further and do the job. The big problem I see is...

How to install 98-01 Dodge towing mirrors on a GMT400

For those of you that are contemplating this mirror setup, go to a Dodge truck with these mirrors. I did and could see that these stick out pretty far; flipping the mirror head just places it vertical, but not out any further. They will be awsome for towing though.

    Oil filter adapter o-rings

There was a GM upgrade on the pre 95,s. I did mine while it was apart. There was a service bulletin on it. Some seals were eliminated and different, fewer were substituted.

Where to buy ARP lube for head studs?

When I got some ARP fasteners a few years back,ARP supplied Moly paste. I think that most of the auto parts stores can get/carry moly paste in small tubes. You could call ARP. They might send you out a packet, although probably not in time. Do you have any local businesses that build racing...
