cool, stock is fine with me, I don't have a lockup tranny so a lockup converter is entirely unnecessary. I may have a line on an am general IP and lines from a hmmwv. need a rebuild but that is the least of my worries. thanks yall
without getting into the engineering too much, say your pilot injection goes at 2.5 BAR the droplets are not very fine, and act to cool the compressed gasses, as the combustion action is equalizing temperatures "think how you piss doesn't immediately mix with the bowl water" now the next...
ya got me, I'll calm down I promise, i been to a few bad churches in my time and the congregation doesn't really change much from one to the other.
in regards to your problems, I think that it is like anything else in automotive engineering, once you get outside of stock setup the more that has...
some will say ol Bill is spoutin snake oil, however, I am a believer, he has something special going on, possibly a quad plunger head/rotor with bigger plungers and some other clever mods, but if he is, he ain't tellin nobody he still holds land speed records in his category and one just doesn't...
as I said previously, this is a little difficult to say, the pop pressures mus be calculated for timing and pressure, so the internals may or may not work, not to mention the dimension differences internally, these are two different injectors, that is not to say that it cannot be done, just...
so I need to switch to an electric kickdown, or a mechanical kickdown, where to source one?
I may have just found a db2 from a hummer, with the lines, not trying to break the bank here, so no hydraboost, or 700r4, keep it cheap. I have the lift pump, from the other truck, I may also be able to...
pulled the 350 sbc out and am going to drop in a 6.5 from a 95 chevy 1500 with 115k miles on the clock.
I am going out to the pick n pull tomorrow to see what i can see in terms of 6.5 trucks, I need an injector pump lines and a torque converter., as well as the wg actuator from a 6.5 from...
Look, lets get this straight right off the bat. I don't work for him, and I do not get paid commission. To the best of my worldly knowledge his pumps are the best. He don't brag about it, but I will, you want to know more? you gotta talk to him. He can custom tailor a pump for whatever you...
I have the rad. and res. I am planning to use the fan as a backup for cooling in the event of mech fan failure. I plan to mounting electric fans to the front and run the BDC motors reverse polarity to a switch, that way they push instead of pull. BDC motors are awesome BTW.
400 bones??? thats steep, must be someone willing to let one go for less. Whats so special about em besides the bolt holes? I got the autozone stuff, the ip, torque converter are the harder to source, expensive things.
I am also a member of www.vwdiesel.net/fourm the two-stage injectors are raved about in many performance builds for the IDI guys. You are all on the right track here, I am so glad someone else is pursuing this for the 6.5's. Try talking to GILES from http://www.performancediesel.ca/ I'm sure...
Newbie here, I'm in 29 palms, CA, near Bill Heath's place. I am moving soon to Franklin County VA, Moonshine capitol of the world. Posted in the introductions already.
God Bless, and Semper Fi,

I have a 6.5 from a 95 1500, I pulled it with 115k on the clock, not understanding what I had gotten myself into. I am used to the AM general 6.5's that are in the HMMWV's. The thing ran before it was pulled, I heard it. I am doing a transplant into my 1975 chevy scottsdale longbed, with a...
