no rear lights, I'm pulling out my hair

I have no rear lights. I changed all relays and fuses, although none were bad, all had .02 ohms. and relays worked with a hot from the battery, and tested good. I have a feeling that some of my other problems may have a common denominator. at exactly 40 mph my rear abs light comes on, but...

Ok, so I have an impulse trailer brake controller installed, and I checked the wiring, and it all appears connected correctly. I also removed the rear diff sensor and checked it as well, still has a very strong magnetic field, but no crud on it. I also checked the ground point in the rear of...

pulling the innards from a 7.3 IDI pump and a 6.2 pump

good reference I saw that, and i'm going to use it, because I'm using a good ds4 as the "control" in the experiment, so this is good stuff.

so.... when " and I mean when" I get a pump for this thing I am going to set the fuel to just about pinging, "get it to ping, then bring the fuel back up a hair" Then I will use an AF meter, and 5-gas device "sniffer" to set the timing. Then drive, if the power is acceptable, then good, if no...

pulling the innards from a 7.3 IDI pump and a 6.2 pump

Tomorrow I start my transplant operation, I want to see first hand the differences between the 7.3 and 6.5 pumps for the IDI engines, I found a couple at the junkyard that are not seized, and am going to pull them apart to compare, components etc. I know many of the basics, but what I'm looking...

I have the distinct feeling that the roof lights "running lights" and my other problems are interrelated. hmmmmm

updates I got some stuff done today, got the flexplate in today, thanks to a generous member. I cleaned the front cover, with a 3m roloc wizz wheel. put the new water pump together and bolted it to the plate, with lock washers and a new gasket. I then painted it white, why you may ask? if...

great idea, you can just remove them completely, think about how much weight that is and how much faster you can go without them. .............

Well, I made some progress, I have the water pump mounted onto the cam cover and painted it white "so I can see any leaks" and am all set to place the cam cover on the engine tomorrow. I got a torque converter for three bad th350's which I think is a pretty good deal since I paid nothing for em...

new, to me anyway, 92' f-350 with a unique problem

I now have a new'er 10 ply tire as a spare, and I have a feeling that the grounds are the issue. the hazards work in the front but not in the back, and the rear brakes, and flashers work only on the driver side rear, but not the pass. weird!

I changed the cab rear light, fixed the cruise control issue. still have no clue about the rear pass lights, hooked up the multimeter, and got nothing, wires are intact, am going to have to pull it out tomorrow.

and I still need an IP, at least a core, I'll trade my ds4 for it with some cash on top but I need that thing like two weeks ago. I got a flexplate from a member, and gave a trans shop three bad th350 cores for a good, low stall converter. I'm in good shape but for the TV, mod, and IP, that's it.

it isn't a problem with the tv cable, that I can source, what everybody looks at me funny about is the mechanical modulator, I have been called druck, high and even kicked out of a transmission shop because the guy says he has been working on transmissions for 40 years and has never heard of a...

new, to me anyway, 92' f-350 with a unique problem

here are some pics of the battery tray modification for the new batteries "they're big" and the batteries I added some cavitation protection to the coolant, and I want to check the condition of the trans. fluid but I can't find the damn dipstick, this originally had the banks option from the...

new, to me anyway, 92' f-350 with a unique problem

well, I swapped the batteries for a matched set of Hawker AGM's @ ~1200 cca apiece, found the problem with the charging system at least. my pass. rear blinker and brake light doesn't work, so I'm currently on a wild goose chase through wiring to figure out why. I have three connectors that go...
