1500 is just barely above what my truck would do in stock setting with stock exhaust. It would sustain above 1450 when towing. I think you will like it alot more with an exhaust.
I am getting ready to get my new bailer and Bale Bandit going and the guy who used it before recommended using preservative on anything above 14 % stem moisture on alfalfa. He felt it was more important on the bandit than on 4x4x8 bales. I already have an dry application system on the bailer...
The weather is driving me nuts. I started cutting grass hay yesterday and I woke up this morning and checked the weather and they forcasted rain on Tuesday so I finished the 40 or so acres I was doing and quit. Now they are forcasting dry weather but cool. What to do. I may just pony up and...
I have a 30 gig Zune and I like it alot. It is alot easier to navigate for me than the Ipod. I don't like the wheel on the Ipod. Plus it only cost $90.
For our grass hay the only swather to have is a NH. A few years back the when the deere introduce their disc mowers the brought them out and they were pothetic. They left more grass standing than they mowed. The general opinion was the conditioner created too much wind and blew the crop over...
We used to run a hydro swing disc mowers. They were New Hollands, but I can't remember the model numbers. About 4 years ago we broke down and demoed a Hw 340 Self propelled and we never took it back.
The only difference in my opinion is conveniece, but I would have a hard time going back.
On my dmax I have run, Mastercraft CT's, Cooper Discovery SST, Mastercraft Mudders, and now I have Yokahama AT's. The yokos are quiet and seem to run well with little wear in 8000 miles. I was a little concerned how they would perform in the mud, but they have done well so far. All the others...
That sucks that your crops got pounded. We had a hail storm 4 or 5 years ago that pounded foot tall corn and alfalfa that was ready to cut into the ground. The hay that was left was just stems.
The only reason the frequency drives are a benefit to us is the 2 wells we put them on will put...
Did you realize that they had stripped it before you tried to start it or did you get a fireworks show? I hate thieves. Their mothers must not have taught them if it isn't yours don't touch it. More than likely they needed drug money.
Damn druggies.
What is everyone doing in the fields now?
Today we plowed about 40 acres getting ready for corn. This was an old field that had been in sod for way too long. 30 years or so. Hoping to finish tomorrow so we can level the beginning of the week.
On the sod front the 2 new fields we...
You wire them between your power source and the well. It reduces the power output to reduce pressure rather than having to throttle it with a manual valve. The big benefit is not having to check pressure all the time and reduced power usage when not needing to run full volume. They claim a 4...
Have any of you run frequency drives on your wells? We had 2 installed today on a 250 horse motor and a 100 horse motor. The seem to work pretty well even though I didn't have a chance to run them too long. Just wondering if anyone else has had any experience.
My 35 year old Valley actually had some original gearboxes on it when it was torn down. Same with the Lockwood the center towers have a couple originals.
