Dmax for sale, needs Head Gasket

Graphie color? pictures must do an injustice, looked blue to me. It would be more acceptable with pewter, but a blue interior and goldish exterior, just yuk! Maybe I need to change out my eyes.

Dmax for sale, needs Head Gasket

Look deeper! I have never seen that interior/exterior color combination. If you could see it up close I would check for possible extensive body/frame damage to warrant a color change. For me it screams run away!!!

    Manual TCC Lockup

Copied from the torq-lock owners manual. The difference between the AutoLoc and TorqLoc is that the AutoLoc automatically controls the TCC lock up signal once it receives a power signal from the exhaust brake switch and the TorqLoc has a manual position, automatic (or AutoLoc position)...

    CA Title Inspection

___________________________________________________ Maybe????? The new CA law states 1998 and newer diesels, but it may change in years to come to include some type of checking on the older diesels. I would say that they will change the date to inclued 94-up diesels as they were the first Gm...

    CA Title Inspection

Most likely because it came from out of state. I had to have a inspection when I bought my sub from washington and registered it here in Commiefornia.

    CA Title Inspection

Good to hear, I only fear that'll get worse when they get used to doing the diesels on a regular basis.

California Smog Check - The Verdict

Revenue generators Just another way to soak us for more money. To top it off you probably got nailed for the truck rate to boot.

off topic but i need help

my 88 ranger 2.8l does the same thing- hard o-ring. had the same puzzeled question about it. puuled the pan and no water just clean engine parts, but the oil fill on the cover was just nasty.

off topic but i need help

Check the o-ring or gasket on the oil fill cap, it either hard or missing allowing condesation to merge with the cooling oil vapors at the fill. this will give you that sludge also. Like stated above, rule out any loss of coolant with the simple coolant system pressure tester. these can be...

    Ooohh... nice trucks on Ebay...

The 1500 suburban IS a 2500 chassis. The only difference is the 3.42 gear ratio which limits the GVW to 7200lbs (IIRC). The reason GM did this was to comply with "X" amount of vehicles to fit in a different catagory for emissions compliance. Now the extent of emmision compliance varied amongst...

    What's wrong with my Suburban?

did you replace the electronic filter harnes on the IP? it doesn't come with the New IP. (Copied from another site) A failing filter harness can set codes 17 and 18. It can cause stalling after startup, hesitation and occasional 'fish byte' missfire ( one solid miss that commonly occurs at...

    Got turbo issues

Not sure yet. I'm a die hard General Motors guy, so it's hard for me to look any other direction but into the D-max crowd, just not wild about the prices they want for them.

    Got turbo issues

Well after a long hard look at the trucks woe's, the amount it would cost to repair/replace and the realistic logical thinking of what I put it through. I decide to have my co-worker take it to auction and sell her off. I took all of the good add-on stuff off (one of the auction houses...

    ATT and PO236

Commifornia Smog Laws California is looking for the simple stuff on the diesels. If it came equipped with a turbo and as long as it looks like it is somewhat factory installed then you will be good. EGR delete will get you nailed so all "s" code engines better have the EGR and better have a...
