    Most the yards around here dont have stuff that old anymore.... scrap was worth WAY too much the last few years...

    How cheap and where do I get that chime??? We have hated the buzzer for years... did not rip it out for the same reason as you....

    Agreed... if it werent for that, I wouldnt be using the SSD heads... but the free one is SSD, and I would prefer a matched pair.

    Man, I cant catch a break.... both heads are cracked... one beyond use. I am leaning towards 2 new SSdiesel heads.....

    So the head from the 'bad' engine are off to the shop.... going to get them pressure tested, and rebuilt. Keep your fingers crossed that they are good!

    Sure does!! Taking the heads off the 'bad' engine that had a broken crank to the shop tomorrow. Going to get them tested/reworked so that when I pull it apart, I have them ready. Good news is... i just had most of it apart.... should go easy!!

    I dont have any pics... but I know the interface angle of the head and intakes is totally different. The intake bolts more straight down than the normal setup.
