update
Ok, finally got some spare time to jump in to the grease.
the fist pic is the before.
I used about 2 drops of Dawn dish soap with about a quarter cup of water in a spray bottle and a clean terry cloth wash rag. I aint tellin the wife.. :smash:

I had thought of the W-D 40 but was worried about the foam backer like Diesel Dually stated.

I think I will try the dawn/water thing first and if that doesn't work, go from there.
I think I got the grease on there about a week ago while I was replacing the Pitman Arm...

Here is an interesting thing i found out about the speedometer/odemeter when i put on my new 285/75/16 BFGs. see the pics;
1. first one is stock tires no adjustment on the speedo with the predator (hmm, off 3MPH from the factory)
2. second pic is with the bigger tires and no speedo adjustment...
:iagree:I can't stand the automatic ac! It was so much easier to just turn it on when I wanted it on or up when I wanted more air or down when it was too much air. the temp control being digital is not as easy to know if you have it all the way up or down by just glancing at it like the manual...
I tried putting the clip on first but the plastic tit was shot! the clip would not stay on it for more than a few minutes or the first time i drove down the drive way.
I put epoxy on it and that didn't work either.
I bent the clip to make it tighter but that didn't work.
got fed up and put...
I had to put a 3 inch sheetrock screw in the top. :(
I tried everything I could think of to keep the top in. The issue is the clip will not stay on the plastic tit on the back side of the original pillar cover. Oh well. i don't notice the screw near as much as the gap...
