filled the tank last night to the full when hot line. it was at the full when cold line this morning and the upper hose was flat.
any ideas?
maybe just low since it is 4 yrs old and had a 1000 mile haul over two days before with gross wt of 15K?
yes, but it seems low. I ran it today since the light didn't come on, checked it this afternoon and it looked low in the overflow tank, so I put some new dex-cool in it to bring it up to the hot line. I am gonna check in the morning to see if the upper radiator hose is hard or soft.
my low coolant light just came on two days ago, then went off for a day and is back on today.
Do yall think its just the sensor? How would you go about checking it?
Do you think its actually low on coolant? how do you check it with this wacky system?

this is for my LLY...
are you talking about the long one or the short one?
the long one has two tabs at the rear end that slide in to two slots in the roof. then one screw in the front.
the short one uses the same front screw and the rear if i remember right is with those clips like Tow master said.
I would say the module is pretty common as it has happened to two different trucks of mine and when I asked my cousing (who back in the late ninetys was a tech at a dealer) he said he saw it alot and diagnosed mine in about two seconds.
I don't like the sound of that :banghead: and yes, I am using the original key fob.
I tried it again this after noon, they worked fine, but it wasn't real hot or humid.
It seems they only don't work when I need to get in the back seat for something. :out:
my bet is the wiper module on the fire wall. I have had to replace a couple of them.
try this, when they don't work, open the hood, bang on the wiper module box with your fist, if they start working, thats the problem.
This sounds possible but it does it on both back doors at the same time.
and yes most of the time I can hear movemtent in side the door. they seem to want to lock but just not unlock. :wtf:
maybe next week when I get a chance, I will take off a door panel for a few days and watch it.

q #1 - both (either front door or the fob) sometimes you can toggle the door button or fob a couple times and it will unlock other times you have to reach back and do it manually.
q #2 - That I havent noticed it just seems sporadic but I will start paying attention to the temp and humidity...
Any body got an idea why the rear door locks on my CC work only intermitently?
sometimes when you hit the unlock switch the back doors will unlock like they are supposed to.
But most times they will not unlock, you have to reach back and manually unlock them.
Sometimes you can...
i actually bought the old tires about 5 yrs ago and put them on the wheels that came on the trailer ( bought the trailer for 500 in 99 or 2000, put a set of tires on it and a fresh coat of black paint (it used to be blue) and that has been it... until the blow out and figured it was time for the...

too bad there aint an option from the factory for either "frame goo" or "painted frame".
on the subject of paint and goo, why don't they spray something on the front drive shaft to keep it from rusting as soon as you drive the first time...?
wish mine had the manual knobs...
my '03 did and it worked just fine, it still had the left and right temp control but it was more manual than this dang electronic gadget that I cant seem to work after 4 yrs.
Oh, I forgot to add, the after pics are still a little wet from the Dawn / Water solution, so if there is any sign left after it dries, I will post up pics of that.
I hope I don't have to post any more pics about this tho:cool:
