did you guys know the oil cooler and lines hold 3 quarts?!?!? had to buy another gallon cause of that!!
what am i saying?!!?.. ofcoarse you do.. anyway..
heres my outcome with doing the switch and...
hmmm... interesting.. "mr biased" opinion.. lol.. just kidding wrecker
i know all about amsoil... been using it for 10 plus years in my toys, watercraft, ATV's 2 strokes, small gas engines.. even my RC gasser heli, but 0 hands on when it came to diesels.. considering the diesels likelyhood...
the latest "oil analysis" thread and some of its replies have sparked a question
my motor has 136k on it, no leaks of any kind, is it safe to use synthetics?
alot of varying and conflicting opinions from people i know dont have diesels and are basing their opinions on small gas engines...
im baaaaaaaack...
and man!!! i missed the sound of my engine when its running right, no more rattling, no more ticking.. just a nice throaty purr when idling
amazing.. that flex plate was transmitting all sorts of sounds thruout the engine,
clanking
clinking(thought this was valves)...
same with me..been using blackstone for years for my boat.. very detailed, including recommendations for better lubrication according to oil contamination.. start a file with them and your engines history and reports are recorded for overall time based analysis so you can see if its getting...
heres an update for you guys.. its running again.. and wow, what a differance in output pressure and flow.. i immidiatly saw the differance when i bled the system.. it shotout the fuel from the filter purge valve and showered the hood!!! first time!!! and the T valve output is also impressive...
yah, i appreciate all you guys chiming in, but thats probably what im going to do matt.. hell.. what is it going to cost me? 20-30 feet of flux core?!?! im just not looking forward to doing it all over again in 6 months.. but from what ive read, i should get about 2 years out of it at worse...
hmmm.. interesting..
from what ive read on galvanized pipes just now, the galvanization is actually a plating process.. its suppose to be impervious to temp, but at a steady temp.. i think heat cycling will probably kill the pipe waaaaay before its time.. damn... and it was free too...
lol... nooooo.. thats like 1/4 wall or something..
im almost sure its galvanized underground conduit.. came from a contract electrician, i carried both 10 foot sections to my garage, i would estimate their weight together about 40-50 pounds..
wall isnt than that thin either, its...
im just throwing this out there for opinions/advice...
ive been offered 20 feet of 4" galvanized piping, a few 90* elbows and 45*
can i use this as exhaust tubing? i already have the DP and Xover, i can cut the flange off my current exhaust, enlarge the hole for the 4" and mig it, as well...
ok, ive read all the kudos on the E3158 for the 93 diesel as a better pump than the OEM E3540 for a 99..
but why? more pressure? more flow? more reliability?
what are the differances?
i googled and didnt come up with anything..
any ideas fellas?
they wont let me.. i cant do ANY work on it at all.. usual excuses.. insurance wont allow us... etc etc.. meanwhile... in the background i see 6-7 cars that have been parted out, so who are they kidding.. its a scam.. trying to get more $$.. but i got them good.. they wanted to charge me even if...
yah, apparently, no one has these pumps in stock so if i dont find it tomorrow morning, i have to order it, and leave my truck at the tow yard, $45 a day!!! plus they wont let me swap it out on thier property, they're going to charge me $25 to "pull" me out 35 feet, sheeez, this pump is going to...
well.. heres what i think the noise is, empty injectors, empty chambers..
not enough fuel in there for good combustion maybe? not enough heat? its almost as if the noise is a cold engine, well.. 2 cold engines under there.. but anyway
either way, ill have to get it running to figure out...
yah, i figured, that fuel STILL hasnt seperated, its been sitting for a month!!! those inline doubles are awesome, i had a set on my boat back in the days, but the price... sheeeez.. $200-$800 for the clear bowl types, ouch.. have to save for that one!! lol
but the fuel in there is spotless...
anyone can do anything, your truck will handle anything atleast once..
ive overloaded my truck a couple times.. if ide do it again?.. no.. wasnt worth the aggravation when i had fried the rear brakes and cylinders ($360)
not to mention added stresses to the truck itself.. as a truck in...
