also on a side note I talked to my pump test guy and we are going to be flowing about 130,000 gal of water in 1/2hr time! I dont know where its all gonna go but I better bring my swim trunks that day, lol.
ok guys short update here, the new motor went in with out a hitch but when we went to start it up well it started fine but there was a problem with the contorller and it would not shut down! Finally it came to blocking the intake off to shut it down. New part was emergancy overnighted from the...
Hey I have a question here for you guys, when you use the tcc lock to slow down when you are not towing does it do much? the reason I ask is I run pretty heavy with all my tools and material for work every day but I dont tow much, but every thing here in Pittsburgh is a hill and I hit some good...
Aces, I hear ya but Id rather get my hands on one of these John Deeres, it looks fairly small length wise its just tall. Im sure it could be stuffed under the hood if you moved the cab back a little bit and put a bit of a lift on the truck. These fire pump engines are very detuned because they...

Well I have to say it would be a really nice setup for me other than backing into my driveway. And it couldnt be any worse than the nightmare that I have now, lol. I have seen this listed before but I think the price was way higher like $15xxx, I amagine that the reserve is probally fairly high...
lol, yea BigBlue I have thought of that also but it has been done before DP mag did a article on a guy that put one in a ford. now if i didnt have my long bed truck because I need the space I would def think about it.

Im not sure, we are going to try and sell the motor, pump, and controller as a package deal since it is most valuable in that form. But if we need to split them up then we will to be able to sell them. I have thought about what things I could do with the motor but for me it is just to big. I...
The old pump is compleatly detached and is up on pipes to roll it out of the building. It is a chemical plant, the pump part is rated at 2500gpm but the engine over time has lost horsepower and will only push about 2200gpm and nothing is UL/FM listed so we are putting in a 3500gpm pump that is...

That kind of stuff is why I always take a pair of chanellocks with me on test drives, anything that was missed and needs tightend while your out you can usually get tight enough with the chanelocks to get home. Good work on the sub, I hate doing work on all of my trucks every thing is allways...
