    1994 paint - adhesion optional

Will, sorry no video but a few photos. Besides, I don't know what I'm doing as a painter and I'm sure there are plenty of youtube videos on the subject. I think I put a couple hours into sanding, three into tape and two into rolling on the paint. With assistance or a place to spray with my...

    1994 paint - adhesion optional

Over a decade ago I quit washing the truck when the paint started flaking off. Figured if it didn't care what it looked like neither should I. With the Bramco bed about ready, it's time for a change. I pressure washed the whole truck to clean up the frame for the Bramco installation and...

I spent about four hours each day on last Sunday and today clearing the build site for a shed at the ranch. The truck dragged trees off the site to be cut up later. Some weren't excited about moving and the weight of that Bramco would have helped. It was a tough day for the truck and though...

GM Is Playing The 1500 Diesel Game Again...

I thought gnome destroyed the tooling for the 4.5? Maybe someone got excited about the response to a 2016 Colorado diesel and misspoke.

I have one of these on order. It'll largely look like this but I deleted the louvers on the headache bar as well as the tool boxes and the 5th wheel business and added a grab handle on both sides of the headache bar along with steps where the tool boxes are and a receiver hitch. Should be...

Hey, I'll be heading toward Fairview this weekend. Can I just drop it by the place we pulled the bed?

From the NHTSA (not NHTSD, sorry) Bold emphasis is mine. 1) What is a bumper? A bumper is a shield made of steel, aluminum, rubber, or plastic that is mounted on the front and rear of a passenger car. When a low speed collision occurs, the bumper system absorbs the shock to prevent or...

I like to think of the 10000 hitch as a bumper. Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk

Have at it, buddy. Thanks for the effort and giving it a good home. Now I have a new problem. I can't see that it'd be that hard to frame up a deck base in 2" square tubing and angle iron like my car hauler, powder coat it, and have Red Cedar Creations cut some boards for decking out of...

Turns out removing a bed is pretty easy. Simply go to Tanner's place and look at cool stuff laying all around while he pulls the 8 bolts. Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk

    Today's AC bafoonery

Well it's all back together and the a.c. and all fan positions work. With the same amount of effort the old fan spun one time and the one 2.5 times around. With a bonus ground wire in place I hope it keeps working.

    Today's AC bafoonery

To be clear for anyone searching the thread, the total loss of ALL fan positions was intermittent but did drive the fan replacement. Before installation, I'll compare by hand the free spin of the units and verify function on the trucks harness of the new unit. Photos to follow. Still now idea...

    Today's AC bafoonery

You can just make out one of the connectors to the VSSM in the first photo in the previous posting on the lower left side of the photo...just above the ECM that's sitting on the door of the glove compartment. Here's a tighter shot of the mystery wires.

    Today's AC bafoonery

The motor did turn under power and all the speeds stepped appropriately when switched so I can't imagine how the fan motor resistor could have been damaged. I found my VSSB - milky white box - not under the ECM on my 94 but buttoned to the dash plastic below and left of the glove box. It had...

    Today's AC bafoonery

Having just ordered my new fan for about 110 delivered I came home to pull the old one seeing as Tanner's mom said he couldn't play today (we were going to pull my bed). Before I got at it, I fired up the truck and verified that none of the fan settings worked but that the stepper motors (I...

    Today's AC bafoonery

I have a acdelco blower motor on the way. I'll pull it tonight and check to see if the shunting coils on the blower motor resistor have died but my guess is not. Again, everything was working fine up until this morning. I noticed immediately no defog, cycled through and shut it off...a few...
