Thanks guys!
I'll look into that and see what they charge.
I never look at the local paper for listings anymore, suppose it wouldn't hurt though. Never thought of the dealer - I'll see if Cape Cod Harley does anything like that.
As a real estate attorney - I know all about making...
Where is a good place to list my scoot for sale (other than the Want Advertiser). :cryin: I'm looking mostly for internet sites.
I'm going to put her up on Craig's List, but don't want to pay for ebay. Didn't have any luck with 05 gmc and that leaves me a little shy on ebay for now anyway...
With a downpipe and 4" turbo back (w/muffler) - I had a 100 or so degree drop towing 5K today. My air filter is filthy too, so I hope for improvement when I replace it this weekend.
My wife and I went to the shows and searched the internet to see what was out there, as well as reading up on RV.net.
Once I found the rig, I shopped prices. Cheapest I found was at rvwholesalers (there are many different thoughts about these outfits). I went to a local dealer to see the...
That is what I was originally going to do, but when I drive out onto the beach I have to drop the tire pressure to help avoid sinking in the soft sand and I don't want to drive on them till I find an air station. So I decided I would just get a portable unit.
I always look to make sure the claws are closed. Also - only lift the legs a couple inches off the ground and pull forward to check the connection again. Then lift the front legs all the way.
Those with eight foot beds can use a devise called a "bed saver" IIRC. I don't know if it works...
I love the way the fvr tows compared to TT. My buddy had bumper pull toy hauler and it was a work out to drive his ford f350 and keep it straight (took a lot to balance it properly).
For me, going out for a drive or goind camping makes it much easier to cut that check each month.:D
I do...
I figure out what I will need to level the trailer and add the same to the rear wheel of the truck on that side. Usually only takes 5 minutes or so to get it level side to side. Side to side pivot hitch is handy too for when I'm lazy.
I just had a set of air lift bags installed and want to get a portable compressor to adjust the bags and my tires.
Any suggestions from those that have experience with these units as to what worked well (especially for tires)?
I just had the airlift bags put in and WOW - what a difference in towing. Glad I invested the money.
Just need a portable compressor. Going to start a new thread for ideas on which ones work well.
Leaf blower (especially on the scoot) followed by the absorber for remaining little stuff. I've found though that it's worth it to take the time to pat the remaining spots dry rather than wiping it dry (less marks over time - I've been using the absorber for over 10 years).
BFG at's are wearing pretty well considering the beating they take.:ihih:
Stockers didn't last - one trip to VT towing over 8K. I got to a rest area for fuel and there was rubber all over my wells and rear quarters and had an indentation develop that ran all the way around the tire's...
Running an 03 Ultra Classic. She doesn't get much love these days since I always have my 6 month old with me (which makes up for the lack of riding time).
I'll try to get some pics up of our run to Rolling Thunder last year.
