I am not particularly familiar with Mercedes diesels, but it sounds like injectors.
By pinching off the return line it forces the fuel through the injectors, instead of by passing them like it is without intervention.
Now the question is, what is restricting them, and what can be done to...
Here is an update, I just filled up:
All averages are hand calculated.
27861.5 miles
27637.7 miles
difference: 223.8
Fuel purchased: 22.282
AVG. MPG =10.04
VERDICT, I think it's self explanatory.
Took a small trip tonight.
Sorry, I don't have a baseline to compare it to, but here are the known s:
Truck: 2005 GMC CC
Modifications away from factory: Retrax tonneau, EGR plate, linex
Route taken: relatively flat, 80-85% 55 mph or higher state routes (from 45177 to 45155)
Currently...
I am not sure what category it would fall into. The claim is that it has no solids, and it presents itself as a clear, slightly less viscous than 15-40w, liquid. That said, I think it would rule out #1 as well, so that leaves #2. Which is interesting in the fact that the comparison...
Sorry, well I can't say that I have seen any appreciable difference. DIC says the same, but that could be the short drive I have to work and home, 16 miles round trip.
But the truck is quieter, for whatever that is worth.
Has anyone else heard/tried this?
I have listened to the ATN radio show on 700WLW/XM 173, and the OTR drivers that call in swear by it. I know what most folks say about oil additives, "snake oil."
But, I found it on the shelf at Meijers, and thought I would give it a try. Thirty bucks, and I...
I might throw in one more suggestion. I am not sure what year you are in high school, but if you have the chance to attend a JVS/CDC/ vocational high school, you may want to consider looking into a industrial/ag diesel program.
Again, it could offer you skills on or off the farm. You obviously...
At a minimum, I would probably consider an associate's in business. Preferably, Agri-business, and start off at a local community college. Take a class or two at a time, just so that you can stay in the swing of things from a study habits POV.
A business/agri-business degree will allow many...
sweet!
Here is a "utility" program for transferring video to your IPOD.

Great thing, it works on iTouch as well, and it's Freeware.
I know that you said that you have already contacted the tech support, but have you been to one of their stores?
Here's something else, that might also narrow down things (turn down the sound, the music sucks):

Got jugs? We have something to fill them, Moonshine by RRDP.
front: two "moonshine" jugs with the question "got jugs?"
Back: We have something to fill them, Moonshine by RRDP.
I recently picked up a new Ipod touch (32 gig)
So while playing with it, I check out the app store, and being the cheapskate that I am, I check out the free app's. Low and behold, there's a program called Pocket Dyno, yeah I know what you're thinking, but I open it up anyway and start reading...
There was a guy over on DP, that sold, and I believe installed these systems. He was from northern Ohio, and if memory serves me right his screen name was ch2co, or something like that. It was the chemical definition of natural gas.
on edit his name is Marc Deluca, and it's propane, not NG or CNG.
