When my FSD started going it threw a bunch of different codes, too many to list, I thought my Tahoe was ready to fall apart, changed out my FSD and everything cleared up, haven't had any codes since, it's bin two months. So I think if you scan before you mite get a bunch of codes that are...
Every engine that I know have that has been sleeved runs without any concern until it's time to overhaul then they get replaced again. So I don't see why a good engine builder wouldn't be able to sleeve 6.2 or a 6.5 without to much trouble, and have it last.
That's not what I wanted to read, I've had a lot of chevy's and they've always given me some warning, like a death rattle, or develop a miss long before they finally give up.
:iagree: But we get them when older and are getting senile, forget why they stopped you by the time they get too your window (twice, PITA) like I'm going to admit anything.
Ya, did that first, turns out the owner is a real dick "nope there all the same" like he knows better :incazzato:, then tells me I took the only one he had in stock (two days before):rippedhand:. I figured that the I'd try here and see if there is a quick fix before i go to the...
Is there a way to calibrate the RPM gauge, I know the feed comes from the alternater. The bearings went in my old one and just got a reman replacement, and new belt. Now at 65 mph the rpm' s are reading at about 23-2400, before I changed it would read it at 19-2000. If knew that the pulley's...
Having worked in the oil patch here and seeing how company trucks are leased and abused there is no way i would buy one unless I knew who drove it. The grid roads around here are washboarded, most employee's don't care if it gets' shaken apart.
I work out of the same shop as our Fire...
I agree, I just spent $450 on a new one, mine did this for 8 month's intermittently before it finally burnt out, I also noticed that if i didn't clear the code my milage would drop from 24 mpg to 19.
Description said netherlands (in layman terms Denmark), I'm not 100% sure but events here are ran the same, unless running over 1000hp and/or exotic fuels (alcohol, propane) then fire suit required.
Description said 6.5, I agree I like the looks of the old Scania's like that.
Here Diesel has always bin cheeper by 5-10 cents a liter than gas, plus most diesels (even chipped ones) have more power and get better milage then the gasser equivalent, so yes it's worth it.
