    Replacing X-over

I also found out that the grounds by the down pipe are on their last leg. I bumped it a couple of times while working on the crossover and it started falling apart like old bale twine. I am going to have to fix that when I am replacing the turbo, hopefully next weekend. It was really bad it...

    Rear window defogger ground???????

I think I will pull the pin switches off the doors and start from there I now know I have a bad ground in the engine compartment so there is probably more.

    headlight polish

I tried the Turtle Wax kit and it cleared the haze off the lenses but it appears like like there are tons of micro-cracks. Kind of like Tupperware gets after you use it in the microwave alot. They do not look anywhere close to new. I think I might try the sand paper and buffer. That would...

    Replacing X-over

Well I finished installing the crossover earlier today. I had to get some longer bolts to help pull the crossover into place, because it was not an exact fit. PB blaster did the trick for me. I hit once about noon yesterday another time at about 4. Then when out and drove it hard for about...

    Replacing X-over

Well got the X-over out. Only broke one bolt, drilled and tapped it out. Started installing new crossover and I can not seem to get the last bolt in. It seems that the 90 on the drivers side is just a tad overbent. I am going to get some longer bolts and see if I can pull it in. The...

    Replacing X-over

Yes I have the new seals. They came with the crossover. It looks like I might need to use some heat to get the old hardware off.

    Replacing X-over

Any hints and tips or things that you would do? I already plan on a good soaking with PB Blaster a couple of times. Is there any grounds nearby that would be easier to get at with the X-over out? Bought a Warpspeed crossover. Maybe I should wait until the ATT arrives? That would...

    Rear window defogger ground???????

I going to research this a little more this weekend. Is it possible the pin switches going to the barn door are bad. I think I am going to just have to put a meter on it and start tracing down the issue.

    headlight polish

A couple of weeks ago I tried toothpaste but it did not seem to work as good as I had hoped. I will try this kit I bought and see if that can clear up the haze. Maybe they are to far gone to be recovered?

    Rear window defogger ground???????

The fuse keeps blowing for the rear defogger and I was trying to find the ground for it and so far came up empty handed. The fuse contacts are clean. I am wondering if anybody would recomend a good manual for chassis electrical.

    Rear window defogger ground???????

I was wondering where the ground was for the rear window defogger. I believe I have located all the grounds in the engine compartment and most of the interior ones. I have started cleaning some of them. Thanks for all the info on this site!!! I am also going to be cleaning the radiator...

    Heath parts WOW!!!

Tranny shifts are crisper, more top end, a little more grunt off the line. Have not drove it enough to test milage or to check EGT changes. I am VERY HAPPY with it, would advise anyone considering one that it is a very good product. After doing the few upgrades I have I hope I can help other...

    Heath parts WOW!!!

It is pleated. How much of a difference does changing the TDC offset make. I believe there is a couple a shops fairly close to me that have a TECH2. I have read many things about the offset being change but just can not decide if it is something I want to do. Timing chain next year hopefully...

    Heath parts WOW!!!

Forgot to mention that it does have a 3" downpipe. The kitty is missing some internal material. My crossover measures about 2 3/8" OD, I do not know how exhaust pipe is measured, ID or OD. There is no rust on it at all. I would assume that it was replaced at one time or another. The IP was...

    Heath parts WOW!!!

I have owned this Suburban for almost 1 year. When I bought it, the exhaust, deep tranny pan,and gauges (boost, tranny temp, and pyro) were already installed. :smile5: So I finally talked the wife into a few things. Order of install: 1)turbo-master (made big difference in smoothness)...
