My oil cooler lines are leaking.
So I bought some new OEM ones, I have not really looked at it much.
I was wondering how big of a job it is going to be to replace them.
Any hints and tips would be great.
I know, I should have bought the aftermarket kit but these are cheaper and if they...
I do not know a thing about efi live. But I would be interested in say a milage tune and a power tune. I am pretty sure it can be done with efi live, can it be done with a predator??
My wife wants me to get rid of my suburban but I said she is just getting broke in!!!
Since I do not forsee a newer diesel burb being made anytime soon, we are looking at a 05 with 5.3L.
What can be done to increase MPG and maybe add to performance.
I was thinking exhaust, intake and tuning. But Ihave no idea about who makes the best products in each catergory.
My injectors are leaking were the body and the housing thread together. This is very common on cheaper injectors according to Bill. There is no gasket there just metal to metal. Under torquing it will cause it to leak. Over torquing it will cause the metal to distort and leak. Of course it also...
Just talked to Bill Heath, got a set ordered.
Now I have to figure out how to return the leaky injectors to Pensacola and get a refund.
I now have a total of 4 leaking.
Maybe I should just send them back and not worry about changing an injector out every other week.
That would really not be a good use of time.
Is it better to get my old ones rebuilt or by new ones?
I have about an hour of run time on the turbo. It is very nice, it seems to be about the same as the GM-8 at lower rpm's, but as soon as you start pressing on the skinny black pedal it just goes. It runs hard and with less boost. It is awesome, as soon as I get the injector thing figured out I...
Yes, they are the ones from Pensacola
It runs and drives great. Could the injector be broken or cracked somewhere, something not installed correctly on the injector?
It is the drivers side. Will pull later. Worn out.
Will it be alright to drive tomorrow? It is not running out, just seeping enough to look a little wet.
I could not have did this work as quickly as I did without all the useful info on this site.
All the washers came out with the old injectors.
Injectors were torqued to 50ft/lbs.
I do not think it is a return line not getting on far enough the seepage is closer to the head. I am wondering if I got a piece of debris in the hole.
I got the A-team turbo and new injectors installed.
All together I probably have about 10 hrs. in it.
Every thing went pretty smooth, excellent instructions with turbo.
I do have one injector that looks like it might be seeping from the base or were the piece threads into the base.
I am leaning towards the goodyears. But there are so many good tires on the market.
I had a friend suggest Cooper, I have had them once before and they were noisy.
