Well my truck engine passed the compression test with the clear tube connected to the dipstick tube. Wish I had known of that test BEFORE I bought the truck, but luckily it appears to be in good shape nonetheless. :thumbsup:
it would be a huge addition in oil capacity. Not really a good place to mount it on a pick up though. But its just laying around in the way so the thought crossed my mind.
yeah, biggest (and dumbest) load I ever pulled with a 1 ton. It was just shy of 40,000lbs. That shipper would keep adding trailers to an order until you said STOP ALREADY! I will say this, the cummins never hesitated at all.
Im in Columbus, MS. It will just be a local tow this trip. The guy I got it from was doing the same thing with it so it should be fine for this one, but will definitely be changing all the fluids soon.
My 1994 3500 DRW 4x4 window sticker states that the truck has a "4 speed auto trans w/overdrive and electronic control". I see a lot of different transmission numbers on this forum, how can I tell which one mine is?
