The Culprit!!
I pulled the DRL module out.....everything works fine now, and when my HIDs come in, all I have to do is pull the fuses. Here is some pics of it....
Update!!
So, I'm pretty sure I answered my own question, but I want you guys to verify this for me. It was partial stupidity on my part.
Anyways, the green wire goes into the #13 fuse, which is the trans ign. Originally, I pulled the fuse and the wire and looked at the dash, it said SFWD. I...
I agree, I'm not really happy with it.
I tried looking for the other end, and it either goes to that little black box in the one picture I have there(I believe the last one), or it goes through a grommet on the side of the fender.
Question for you guys, what is this green wire for in my fusebox under the hood(see pics), it goes to the little black box in the picture? It doesn't look like something that would come from the factory???? The only thing I can think of, is that when I imported my truck from the US, I had to get...
I am thinking of picking up some kind of powder coater, that I can use in the garage. It will just be used for small parts for atv's, snowmobiles, maybe even something small from the truck or race car too. I can get a used oven for very cheap or even free, so that is not a problem. I also plan...
I think it will sound really good! You should of seen it shake!!! It was kind-of hard to tell how it will sound with open-headers, since the pipes they have on it with the dyno.
No....somehow I forgot! Once I heard it fire up, I forgot about all my plans to take pics, videos, etc.!!!! Those...
Looks really nice! Can't wait to see the videos, and finished product.
One suggestion though, get rid of that ugly elbow!! I would suggest something along the lines of this, that way it matches the pipes going into it............
I'm pretty impressed. 575 HP, and 531 FT/LBS. It's a 383 stroker. Brodix aluminum heads, mild roller cam, etc. Can't wait for the race season to start, gained at least 100 HP over last year, and lost about 100 lbs. right off the front....should pull the wheels pretty high! Best part is it runs...
I was gonna fool around with the wireless route but didn't want any problems with that, so I just bought a 100' Cat-5 cable on eBay for less than $20 total(incl. shipping), and just ran it through the vent all the way downstairs.
Thanks for the reply. I guess I forgot to update this thread! I ended up getting 10 gauge wire and a 30 amp breaker. Got it all wired and everything is working perfectly. It is 2 hot wires and a ground, no neutral.
Also got my first project done too....
I ended up going with 10 gauge and a 30A breaker. I was going to go 8/40 but the store didn't have enough wire, so I decided along with input from others to just go with 10/30. I got all of the wire run and the outlet installed, and I'm going to wire the breaker into the sub tomorrow.
Update....
Well, I picked up the welder today!
Below is a couple of pics of the plug...
This is a pic of the manual, and it talks about input: breaker, cable, fuses, etc.
So, after reading that, what wire should I use(10 gauge, 8 gauge?), and I should get a 40A breaker, like it...
I am thinking about buying a 220v welder. The problem is, I don't have any room left in my main panel in my house. The only alternative I can think of is that I have a sub-panel for my hot tub. It is a 60 amp breaker in the main panel and the sub-panel has 4 "poles", 2 of which are being used...
I've got all my yearly maintenance done and fired it up today to clear all the fogging oil out, and she is running perfect! Also put on a new track, slides, and carbides. Can't wait for snow........
