    Big list of things

Funny you mention that Crankme, that was the engine most prone to failure with "deathcool" There is website upon website about the death of 3.1 v6's before during and after switching coolant. I'm also gun shy of it, but after seeing that turd that Dslug took out of his block makes you wonder...

I thought about that too. It's concentrated citric acid. My biggest worry is what it would eat away at if it wasn't neutralized. Figured sticking with normal rad flush would be a safe bet.

    Big list of things

Wow, I thought for all the bad I read on the internet, I bet someone has something good to say. Yeah, so its just like saying Ford is better then Chevy. Found just as many threads and sites saying bad as good so I'll have to think about it. I still want to know about good system flushing...

    Big list of things

I've switched all the GM's i've owned before from dex-cool to regular. Its just about service intervals as far as I know. At the end of the day it's still antifreeze. Dex-cool just sludges like a bastard. Check out that resto thread that Diesel Slug did, that heater element that looked like...

    Big list of things

Tuesday night I have to stay up late sort of conditioning myself for night shifts so what better way to kill 6-8 hours then working on my truck in a big warm shop with lots of parts and tools LOL. One of the things I was going to work on was a coolant flush. I'm fearing and assuming I have the...

    New to me DS4

The kit? I found 2, one for 80 and one for 60. I'm guessing its all just o-rings? Probably could get them out of an o-ring kit from the parts store? Or not worth it rebuilding it myself?

    New to me DS4

I bought a DS4 off ebay the other day. I want to rebuild it. Where is a good place to get a rebuild kit?

    Air boxes

Thanks! That's the answer I was looking for. I seen the other one, didn't know how hard it would be to mod it to fit. Price is right though on both, so what the heck, might as well ask.

    Air boxes

How about the square new style K47? My work truck is a 2003 GMC but it looks identical to a dmax box.

DB2: Air bubbles only when cold advance is on?

Wow, so I don't feel like the only one who has this problem. I also installed a carter pump and I have the EXACT same start up as WarWagon. Mine is the original replacement. I'm stumped as well. I do live in the land of salt and dirt so I could see my lines being messed up. Seems though...

    Air boxes

I got a lead on a k47 air box, but I was wondering, would an air box from a 99-2006 work? Better? Worse? If the price was right? Suggestions? Thanks

    6.5 With a Stack I saw

There's one here in town, similar to GreenMachine's without the bullrack cut. Same as my truck, but black, 4 inch lift, 5 inch dual chrome slasher cut stacks. Looks good.

    Glow Plug Harness

That engine is absolutely gorgeous! Thank you very much for all the info! I really didn't think the wire was that much. But you get what you pay for.

    6.5 still having problems

Maybe a dumb question, but how many tanks of fuel have you put through it since this started happening? Could it be old fuel from a mom and pop fuel station? I went through this, I also answered a thread like this on the other site, guy having similar problems and that is exactly what it was...

    Glow Plug Harness

Well, north of the 49th its cold and stuff gets rusty and corroded. Explains half of my problems with my truck. I should wire up an override switch so I can test this :mad2:. End result would be I would have it when it gets really cold...

    Glow Plug Harness

http://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/showthread.php?26914-Running-out-of-things-to-change&p=321255&viewfull=1#post321255 Already ahead of you there. Now I'm looking for answers on what wire people have used. RDM suggested a heat rated wire. I'm asking others if they have done it, what did they...

    Glow Plug Harness

Oh, I didn't think it was a big secret lol. He said use heat rated wire. I was wondering what other people had used assuming someone else has already done this.

    Glow Plug Harness

I've consulted with Raceday about this. He has given me some great advice for fabricating my own harness. Has anyone else custom made their own? What materials did you use? I'm hoping to get this done on the weekend. Also hoping these things are easy to get at your just a bit better then...

Running out of things to change

The PO had it at this garage. I'm not going to start saying stuff about them but anyways, drivers side is all fusible link. Passenger side is connectors they made from flat blade 16 gauge connectors and regular wire going back to the connectors near the starter. So if I am to fab a new set of...
