I haven't made it back to the shop, but the 97 has a fpt tapped near the bottom of the block valley to the left of fuel manager at near the same angle as the valley. The opu goes directly in with no brass fitting like earlier models that were behind the head with a brass fitting to mount opu. I...
The 97 OSU is located under the intake at rear as many may know. It has a slight angle that is preventing me from getting the special socket on, which I always used for earlier models. Is there a new removal tool for this setup or do you have to remove the intake?

I'm replacing my 6.5td in my 94 truck with a 97 6.5td. Since the serpentine setup and AC and alternator are different on the 97 vs 94:
1)Are the plugs/pins to the accessory's different? If so how do I resolve problem? I do have the 97 engine harness.
2)Is there anything else on the 97 engine...
94 6.5td diesel- there's not a lot and the temp gauge has increased some and it stays consistent. Running open thermostat and radiator was boiled 2 years ago.
