I think it does look good but it needs some more sidewall. I'm also not a fan of the Cali lean, I think that looks gay. It's down here too but not nearly as much. I dont understand why its cool to have their headlights pointing toward the moon.
You can probably throw on an oil and trans cooler and be done with it. I'd be more worried about the trans cooler. I would like to put one on my car as well. If you're not towing super heavy, every day and twice on sundays, I wouldn't really worry about it. I've seen some god awful contraptions...
It would do that fine. The 5.7 is a stronger motor than most people think. It its clean, I would jump on it. Or maybe offer 15k cash and see if he bites. There are a ton of upgrades you could do to make that engine scream.
I think the whole cooling system is upgraded, much like GM trucks. Oil cooler, trans cooler, higher wattage electric fans and a larger radiator. The 4.7 is no Hemi but it's a good motor that makes decent power.
Did you plan on towing with this thing?
I like that too. It's the way I've been rolling around. I just used carbon fiber trim tape and it looks pretty good actually. I need to have it repainted though.
I've decided to leave it black.
Also thanked the UPS guy for what he left me yesterday.
I wanted something with an enclosed air box. I dont care much for open filter elements. I prefer AFE and S&B products but Volant is a good design. I like the sealed air box. It also comes as an...
I started to black out the grille today after a wash and wax. I used some trim tape that looks like carbon fiber and did a very entry level tape over the stock chrome piece. Then, I debadged it.
Opinions on debadging because I'm 50/50. I like the badging, then again, I think it kinda looks...
I was getting a consistent 22-23 mpg highway with my LBZ AFTER about 6k miles. That leveled off and at around 25k, I could barely squeeze 20, on a good day, with a tail wind. And once I lifted it, it was all over.
With an 85 hp tune, my LLY felt so much peppier down low and would get out of...
I never had any overheating problems with my LLY either, and I also traded up for an LBZ with 0% interest with a lower payment. I made out rather WELL.
I would ditch that grille there if you want your cooling system to function as designed. It doesn't look like it gets a whole lot of air...
Good thread.
You have the Allison 1000.
I would also recommend the Predator. It'll pump up your mileage and give it a nice, light on it's feet feel. I ran the 85 tune without any problems. It does defuel during shifts as a default tune. You wont really notice it all that much. The Predator...
