In the future, try paraffin wax. Heat the whole sucker up and then melt some wax on it, concentrating around the edges of the threads. That stuff will seep like no other; we use it at work on motors with 5,000 HARD hours on cast iron blocks with painted over plugs that haven't been moved since...
If you're still on the fence, let me tell you it's probably one of the best upgrades you'll do. I didn't really think my steering was that bad, but the braces made a world of difference in my steering... so much tighter, even on brand new pitman/idler.
My Cognito kit from Nick came with...
I will most likely. How difficult is this to change out? What causes a failure this catastrophic?
Don't get me wrong, I beat the CRAP out of my truck off road; over rocks and holes, up grades covered by gravel, raging across creeks, etc, but I didn't think the body mounts really would be...
Found this the other day... busted body mount? I've been feeling a lot more clunking/thumping than usual latlely.
What should I replace this with? Another factory bushing?
Looks freakin' sweet. Too bad you can't Line-X the whole damn thing; I saw a truck down at the dealer the other day completely linex'd, less tail lights and headlights of course. Looked awesome.
Can you print a test page?
Restart your computer, open up "Printers and Faxes" in control panel, right click the printer, properties, hit "print test page".
Moved you over here; tractors have their own section.
You might want to clarify what kind of tractor you're dealing with; is it a 12.5hp ride on mower or a 200hp Deere ag machine.
Two things to check...
1. Did you lose your radio presets? If so, you might have also lost your personal prefernce settings. Do you have the steering wheel redundant controls? If so, you should be able to use the controls on the lower right leg of the wheel to scroll through your personal...
Good god man, what do you do to this truck? Motor mounts, blown downpipe, warped brakes? Sounds like someone's flogged the shit outta it.
Unlikely warped brakes could do that, but if the vibration was bad and happening long enough, could contribute...
4mpg sounds a little beyond the scope of reasonable to me. If you want better mileage this way, lowering your truck will do as much or more than an air dam.
