I have used this site for years to look up MPG before I bought a vehicle. Actually for my type of driving the numbers are close...
My Sub makes a shake every now and again when under torque, backing uphill with my trailer or stompin' on it at a stoplight. I thought the u joints may be suspect but when I crawled under to check I found I could lift the tailshaft of the transmission a fair amount. About 1/2-3/4" or more of...
I had it in my '95 and now my '99 has done it once. Only in reverse. I have searched several sites for answers but nothing conclusive. I talked to the pump guy at BD Diesel a number of years back and he said "Optic Sensor" WTF?
When he called me I was in Tacoma WA, up to my A$$ in grease. My quick diagnosis was head gasket or crack as well. I called him yesterday and he thinks it's the starter. Anyway he had to get home some way, given the circumstances I would have done the same (towed)...He is a HS Principal so he's...
Tow was over $1000.00 total...my 2 nephews under 10yrs, my Sister in law, and a huge napoleotin mastiff...boat was towed to Merritt, truck towed home. Then the next day he had to drive back to Merritt 400kms roundtrip to pick-up his boat...I feel his pain...
I got a call from my Bro this afternoon. He was returning to the coast from Vernon BC on the Coquihalla (3rd phase). Stopped for a break on top and when he tried to re-start truck wouldn't even turn over. Just clicked. I asked him if he had run high temperature prior and he said gauge was about...
BC is the same way...I live 12km from the border and our local Canadian tire always has US bought vehicles in for RIV inspection. When I buy my Porsche in the fall it will be in the USA...About 1/3 cheaper. 4-5 years ago you could not buy a used deisel pick-up in BC as they all went to the USA...
Had a problem with the lights on my flatdeck trailer last week, and had the dome light on for an hour or so while I re-wired it. Subs have about 18 dome lights, and when I tried to start it would not crank. Had to jump it.
I checked both batteries connections and tightened, and added water to...
Anyone using these on a K2500 Suburban? A company in Oregon used to make them. They bolt on the stock studs and space rear wheels 2" or so wider on each side to match the fronts. Supposed to improve handling, prevent sway at highway speeds when changing lanes.
On the road, lost a CV joint on drivers side. Still connected but noisy. Can I remove the half shaft with disassembling the front hub? I was thinking about loosening the 5 or 6 bolts on the diff and pulling the whole thing out till I get home. Advise thanks. 1999 Sub k2500.
