Hey Guys,
I went to the street legals last night with the 'MAX.
What a hot and humid night to run!
Everyone was running much slower than expected....here are my results...
Race #1 - I ran a 15.2 against a Toyota Supra that ran 15.3
Race #2 - I ran a 14.3 against a friend's Dodge...
I need to vote more than once...
I owned a 94 and a 95. Both were k1500's with 's' engines. They were identical drivetrains.
One had a cat and one didn't. Even said so on the emissions sticker on the fan shroud. One said 'catalyst' and one said 'non-catalyst'. Can't remember which was...
Things are good Doc...
To be honest, I miss the sound of the old hotrod compared to the DMAX. The 4" exhaust on the 6.5 was way louder than the 4" on the 6.6 with variable vane turbo....

No - you don't have to hit the brake at all in level 2 to activate the turbo brake. Phone Buck at Edge and ask about it....
If yours doesn't have it already, an update should resolve it....
The Edge Evo Race has a built in turbo brake in level 2 only. It is activated once you press the tow/haul button. It uses the turbo vanes to slow the truck down...it is awesome!
LOL!
The 6.5 is fine for light work...but not for what you are asking it to do...
I still have a 6.2....it drives garbage to the dump 3 or 4 times a month....
I'm excited for the first DMAX's you guys will buy...you'll be pretty impressed...
Grab yourself a DMAX.
When I am hauling water for spraying I weigh the following:
truck - 7500 lbs
trailer - 3500 lbs
water - 1250 imperial gallons = 12500 lbs
Total weight - 23 500 lbs
No problems....and love the turbo brake that comes with the Edge Race tuner...
No chance in...
