I think the holes look better than the gasser bumpers. The gasser bumpers, even with front license plate and impact absorbant block thingies look too plain to me.

Bellhousing should be fine, since, IIRC, the van Duramax uses a 4L80/85. I don't know about the flywheel to converter though.

I'm trying to figure out what to do with my transmission fluid. I have no clue what was ever done tranny maint. wise. I think it's nearing time to change the fluid, but I really don't feel comfortable doing a flush. Any suggestions on what I should do? I'm thinking drop the pan, replace...

Good luck. You meeting this goal with stuff easily available and do-able with the "Average Joe" 6.5'er will be a huge step for 6.5'ers everywhere. We'll be like the Duramax's before long, totally smoking equally aged Slowstangs. Hehe.

Yeah, by the late 90's the 6.5 had kinda fallen. Sad really. But still was comparable, stock to stock through the mid 90's.
