    why so many 6.5's

I think the holes look better than the gasser bumpers. The gasser bumpers, even with front license plate and impact absorbant block thingies look too plain to me.

    6.5TD with Allison 6speed

Bellhousing should be fine, since, IIRC, the van Duramax uses a 4L80/85. I don't know about the flywheel to converter though.

    why so many 6.5's

What about both fists raised to symbolize the holes in the bumper? On second thought, maybe we should keep at least one hand on the wheel...:mad2: But seriously, one reason there are so many more 6.5 posts is because we have one forum for all 6.5's and performance. The Duramax is spread...

    4L80 Fluid Change

I'm trying to figure out what to do with my transmission fluid. I have no clue what was ever done tranny maint. wise. I think it's nearing time to change the fluid, but I really don't feel comfortable doing a flush. Any suggestions on what I should do? I'm thinking drop the pan, replace...

    Beat a 5.3

Why do people ever post in the kill forum? You know, it's never possible for whatever kill to happen. You know, there's never any variance at all in anything. Every 5.3 is lightning fast and every 6.5 is a slow POS...

I've given it almost twice as long, and no more came in, so, with a whooping 2/3 of the vote, the winner is..... Old School Smokers! Change your sigs.

    Wanna help a 6.5 beat a DMAX?

Voted. Would love to see a 6.5 win. When I voted, you where ahead by 2. Best of luck to you.

New '83 6.2 Diesel owner from N/W Pa.

Good to have a local member on here. I'm about 8-ish miles North of you, up around Cambridge. I spend 1/2 of every school day in Meadville at Vo-Tech (for Diesel technology).

Well, after the huge number of voters, I've decided I've given it enough time, and will give it one more week. Been waiting for more votes, but haven't gotten any.

    Water/Meth vs. IC

What is what? Money is the stuff you spend to buy stuff. Trucks are the automobiles that bring us here. An A-Team turbo is the Turbo that Slim Shady and Turbine Doc are working on. Intercooler is the charge air cooler that doesn't inject stuff into the intake. W/M is water/methanol, stuff...

Good job! Gonna see how far you can go with 'pane, that Zex kit Heath has, and WMI now? Best of luck on the 15.9.

Going racing.....16 second mark here I come!

Good luck. You meeting this goal with stuff easily available and do-able with the "Average Joe" 6.5'er will be a huge step for 6.5'ers everywhere. We'll be like the Duramax's before long, totally smoking equally aged Slowstangs. Hehe.

    Question About 6.5TD Power

Yeah, by the late 90's the 6.5 had kinda fallen. Sad really. But still was comparable, stock to stock through the mid 90's.
