Well resistance is way out on the FS... So I geuss it's time to pull the lower intake and check the wires. I have a spare one of those harnesses so atleast if it is broken I won't have to f with it I can just replace it. This atleast makes some sence since I was on a really bumpy dirt road when...
Fuel shutoff solenoid is gutted do to that being the no start culprit last time. I seriously have to doubt ip since it has never acted up before. It is a dirt road I was driving on when it stalled so possibly a wire chafed through but I didn't see any blown fuses?
I wiggled the heck out of everything, I thought if the optic sensor was bad you could unplug it and it would run but I didn't know it would work the other way. Grounds were done when motor was rebuilt about a year ago. I'll have to probe the PMD tomorrow, which terminal is it?
The truck listed in sig (96 Suburban). While I was pulling into the parking lot at my truck stalled out and wouldn't restart. SES and wait to start light both come on. Lift pump runs and has pressure, fuel filter is good. All fuses OK. Tried unplugging the optic sensor to start it, nothing. Now...
Yes I know you can get one from napa but I work for a GM dealer wich means I can get a factory one from a duramax cheaper than a aftermarket one. I looked into it they both use a 1 5/8" heater so I dont see why it wouldnt work. Ill let ya know once I do it.
Well my block heater shorted out yesterday and my truck really don't like this cold thing without being plugged in in the morning. Looked into it and a Duramax runs a 1000 watt heater as aposed to the stock 600. I figure the extra wattage would be good for real cold days.
But the question is...
Just out of curiosity have you looked into a standalone like Megasquirt? I am installing one in my car currently but I really havent gotten too far into it yet but they do say it is compatible in diesels. They also make a stand alone trans controller that will work with the 4L80 so maybe you...
I need to get on here more often... I have been working on my car and buggy so my truck is just getting driven right now but come summer I plan on adding a ATT so being able to tune it myself would be awesome cause I really want to push the limits of this motor this summer since I should have 2...
I am actually thinking I'm gonna go to a 5-40 synthetic for the winter. With the high volume oil pump I have preasure before the engine even starts so thats no concern to me.
So it's been getting pretty cold pretty fast around here, I absolutely hate getting into a cold truck so lately I have been walking out to my truck in the morning starting it then flipping the high idle on and go back inside. Now I am planning on getting a remote start for my truck so the...

I have looked into one and running the filler pannel from a 3500hd instead of raising the bumper, then you could add a 3" taller radiator at the same time.
OK so I might be able to start on this project soon, anyone know the laws on registering a diesel repower? especially in Mass where emmisions laws are so strict.
My friend has a 99 K2500 8600gvw crew cab short bed that is mint and loaded to the gills (exactly what I want) but the 350 in it is...
Now that is probably true since they run the 4L80 on the Duramax vans. I geuss I need to do some measureing to see the length differences.
I know they never made a short bed dually in the GMT 400 but I love that look so I have to find a late crew cab short bed and the flares will bolt up...
