They are nice looking trucks. There is one at a local dealership that stickers at $62k. For that much money I would expect the bed to be filled with hookers and blow.
It sounds like you picked a good time to replace tires.
I had a set of Mud Brutes nearly 30 years ago on a '79 F350. They were decent tires, but I did not plow or tow heavy with them.
I was a minimalist camper until I got married. Sleeping in a Winnebago hooked up at an RV camp is my wife's idea of "roughing it." The entire side of her family is that way.
I took my son and the Boy Scouts on several survival camps a few years ago. I hope that they all hold on to those...
The C0495 code indicatres "EVO tracking error." I do not know that that means, but it sounds steering related.

If you are going to add a tune, don't forget gauges. And if you are going to add a tune and gauges, then you will want an intake. And you will get the most out of an intake with at least a 4" exhaust...
So how fast the money burns up? :)
If you intend to keep your truck otherwise stock, and are not looking to lower EGTs, then a 3.5" straight pipe will sound better and breathe a little better than stock.
If each injector uses 8.7 cubic millimeters (mm3) of diesel per revolution (and I am making an edjumacated guess):
8.7mm3 per injector x 4 injectors firing per revolution = 34.8mm3 per revolution
x 650 rpm idle
= 22,620mm3 per minute
x 60 minutes
= 1,357,200mm3 per hour, or .358...
Also, check your air intake and make sure that everything is snug, with no leaks.
That 0299 is an underboost code, and could be caused by the MAF sensor, the EGR popping open (or being crudded up), and/or a leak in the air intake.
