Honestly they can be, with cosmetic work they truly can be as nice as they once were off the factory line, bonus if one gets custom work done to it (heated seats, Android Auto, body work, steering/suspension upgrades, etc) dare I say it can keep up with G Wagons, modern Broncos, etc
well boys, for reference, what i grew up with over the years (luxury cars in general)
But that being said, I know my E4 self can no way in hell ever afford such payments (installments, insurance, etc)
and thus, the Squarebody came into play, my friend put me on, and I got into it.
Thank you so much for your words sir,
Perhaps (as always) i am overthinking this, the good news is that these injectors will arrive as i return back from NYC, so we will see next week how they (hopefully) fit
My boy did the finger test, he said it eats the whole finger.
It’s about a 1/4 he says.
Pic for reference, what do you all say? Should he send a different angle? Was getting the long body injectors the right call?
Im not gonna lie
That was....alot to take in, sir, if i may, laymen terms, please.
Either way, the injectors have already been sent out to me. I guess we'll see in due time what happens
Lord if only I could completely rear down my motor, replace all seals, remove the rust from the exhaust manifolds, paint the block, redo the wiring to make it look nicer, etc.
God, id love to make my 6.2 look as proper as it could be, sure, what i have isnt a bad setup, but still.
I grew up...
Super informative,
Ill have my boy do the finger test, im pretty certain its the long body style ones though, since they were common on 6.2s put on trucks.
Members of the FB group who own Burbans and Blazers even said they found long body ones in theirs.
Guess we'll find out, ill ask him if...
Had my boy take photos of the injectors on both sides of the motor
Looks like theyre all the same, and that they go past the valve covers if you look at them from above.
They seem to be the long body ones
Should I have him take it out? He has 2 other vehicles so yanking it out wouldnt be that bad
Unless theres a risk that the metal lines suddenly crack or something
not sure if im wording it right, but, what type of injectors should I have? I know my block is a 1985 one, not sure ifthe fact it has the ATS Turbo Kit on it changes a few things
Any ideas yall? Merely trying to give Vet Bro the correct info I can
