Agreed it is more likely the trans issues makeing the engine surge. There is a lot of communication between the ECM-trans-engine. If the trans is slipping it can cut the engine WAY back to compinsate. Been there done that ..........
Can you go farther into this.....I have never heard that...
I vote Milwaulkee. Dad and I burnt up 2 Lincolns within 5 years. Milwaulkee holdin strong 6 months plus you can sit it down and use it. The standable feature is great.
I hd a similar issue with mine....I found my problem at the lift pump. My sending unit is grounded with the lift pump. HOWEVER my truck is a cab & chassis though but its a thought.
:iagree:110 %
I have seen a couple pads do this too. Personally I think it has to do with improper handling of the part. Most of these "kids" at the parts counter can't sit anything done anymore....they either toss it or drop it. And anytime you have something "glued" together droping or throw...
If your truck is 4wd it prolly wont have a dampner in it either. IIRC none of the 4wd had it, the short output shaft and t-case didn't leave enough room for it.
Agreed 110%
This is the biggest thing to get right. It is worth the extra minutes to get it right before you tie her down. Too much tongue weight on a heavy load you gotta jam on the brakes to turn ( real pucker factor). Not enough tongue weight and you'll burn your tires off tryin to move...
I do day to day drivin. I would not try it pullin a load.
As for dad's mack 5 speed unsyncro'd, after gettin it rollin there is noo other way. But that is a different animal.
Finaly found the number I had for the 6.5 block, but when I called him he already gotten rid of it. Sorry it took so long. Did you get something going yet????
Well I guess I should count myself lucky on this one...........
Other than losing the starter after bleeding out the air :mad2:
Apeantly when the OPS went on the way home the IP was pullin fuel in, but then on restart she wouldnt do it and sucked the F/M dry.
We're real close then. I work for the City of Chardon. Couple of the guys here live in Willoughby, and Willowick. I live in Farmington (Southeast of Middlefield).
I like the screen name you came up with too, livin in OHIO thats the way it is year round.
Not all 95's are electric...............
Dad has a 95 G20 that is ALL mechanical. LP and IP. It is however non turbo. And yes it has the covented comp for the 4L80E..............
