the plow though heavy, i don't feel is heavy enough to need skid shoes. i don't think it is heavy enough to damage the driveway at the slow speeds of the tractor and as far as wear it will only be hitting 2 maybe 3 driveways. it should outlast my stay in the snowy northeast. 14 years 10...
heres a video from yesterday. then took her out earlier today and did a little yard grading with the snow plow just to see how well she pushes. could definitely use some front weight for steering and considering filling the rear tubes with some anti freeze unless i find chains cheap. but she...
yes this machine is bigger than a cub, i was looking at 3 tractors farmall cub, allis b, and john deere m
i am satisfied with the b thus far. got her running today and put some stop leak in the radiator to get me through the winter and i plan on doing a full overhaul this summer.
just brought this ol girl home the other night... have not run the serial # yet but guy told me it was a 39. if it is somebody added foot brakes and head lights to it. also has factory hydraulics on the pto. so far, needs new 6v battery, i rebuilt the starter, had gear lube in trans instead of...
i don't know if they are bulbs, bulb covers, or the face cover is tinted.
i actually emailed delphi and did not get a suitable answer. i ended up getting the denso and wiring everrything up to an amp and it was worth it. done it in 4 trucks now and did normal nav installs on 3 03-06 trucks as...
did you get it from oem-radios? if so i would call and return it and get the bose version with the aqua lights. then just put an amplifier in with a pac adapter and you will be all set.
Put your mechanical gauge on the oil gallery port on the block. That is your best bet. And if that truck has not rattled itself to bits with the gauge displaying zero then odds are you have oil pressure. The sending units are known to go out on these trucks as well as the stepper motors in...
try a new belt. ( if you want to try a freebie, remove the belt, unbolt ac pump and place two washers under each hole to space it up about 3/16 - 1/4 inch that should take up some slack in the belt and add some tension. )
if that doesn't help then if you have already checked the idlers and...
Nice deal mike!!! That shroud should not make any difference in or out. I towed over 20k through mountains with it in and out with no noticeable change at all.
The only difference is its now much easier to change belts, especially if you are stuck on the road!!
see the plunger, that gets all carbon'd clean both sides and the actuator. but this is only a temporary solution as the solenoid burn out from trying to move with all that carbon stopping it.
if you want, i have a 30k ish egr motor in a box along with a my old grid heater from when i deleted...
nope his name is jeff from atlantic detroit / allison in middletown. he is the best detroit guy around. and one of the best mechanics i know, taught me quite a bit.
iirc fan nut is 1 1/16 can't be sure though, then you need the fan pulley holder or a LARGE prybar to wedge in and hold the pulley while you unscrew the fan ( i was never a fan of the air hammer trick, i tried it once and cracked the pulley, its cast and it sucks) . it is standard thread, not...
