PTFE is the correct choice in my estimation when replacing factory steel on those and the engine oil cooler lines. The temperature rating and pressure rating make them the best option from my research.

My oil cooler has female NPT fittings

MRB9265 from Kartek. My transmission cooler is bigger than the original. It is from our old '94 Suburban. About the same size as the oil cooler. It swapped in without issue. Swapped bracket between trucks.

That worked great! Grounded right below on a bolt for the brake module.

I guess that is quite a span even for steel ceiling. Probably need some intermediate support between trusses.
