My New Injection Pump Is Here!

That is a fact. More turbo, more fuel, a whole lot more power! :D I'll let you know Leroy, once I settle down, and quit mashing the go pedal all the time. Thanks for the advice WarWagon, I'll check out the wiring going to the speed sensors. :) Matt

Time to put an engine together

Nate if that block is still crack free after all this time, there is a good chance it will stay that way for a long time to come. Have you already cleaned all the mains, and done a thorough inspection? Same with the heads, if they're still crack free, you should be able to get a good service...

My New Injection Pump Is Here!

    My HX40 install

Wow Nate, that Tahoe will flat boogy! After seeing that video, I don't think I would want to be in the lane next to you! :D I'm thinking, I'd still need more fuel, and maybe some water/meth before I would want to face off against that beast! Very Nice.:) Matt

My New Injection Pump Is Here!

Thanks Jorge. I don't notice the boost coming on any faster, but my HX has always spooled almost as fast as my GMX did. The wastegate still seems to keep the boost about the same. I'm currently running 18, with spikes of 20+ on shifts. I don't have a video of rolling coal yet, but I'll try to...

My New Injection Pump Is Here!

Thanks Nate. If you really want to see a difference. Here is a video from before my turbo upgrade. It just roles over and dies at about 60. :D Matt

My New Injection Pump Is Here!

Here is a video. In the video, I ran the RPM's up to about 1400, then let go of the brake. The pause at 30 mph is just waiting for the truck to catch up with the back tires. The best I can get the trans to shift at in drive, is 3400, and while I can shift it manually, I can't do it while...

My New Injection Pump Is Here!

He didn't say. I just went down the line with my bits until I found the correct size. I think it was a #43, but I don't remember for sure. It was definitely a number 40 something. :D Matt

My New Injection Pump Is Here!

DieselPro recommended I check the ends of all my injector lines for size using a set of numbered drill bit. He said as old as these are getting, most have been removed, and re torqued several times which caused the ID of the lines to shrink, as it acts like a compression fitting. He said since I...

My New Injection Pump Is Here!

All I can say is wow! This beast pulls strong, and runs great. I have a couple things to do before taking a video. I have my TPS sensor adjusted wrong, so my trans is shifting way to early. I was trying to adjust it so that it would shift a little later, but apparently I went the wrong...

My New Injection Pump Is Here!

Well, its not done, but I made progress. I wasn't in a hurry, as I wanted to make sure to do everything right. My right side valve cover had started leaking, so I took care of that as well. Its funny, I had never heard of the Right Stuff gasket maker until reading about it here. I've had my...

    My HX40 install

Nate, I notice you left your silencer ring on your turbo. Remove it, and it will whistle more. Matt

    My HX40 install

Fantastic work Nate! I really love the downpipe you made, as it looks like it will be very nice flowing even with the wastegate open. Very nice job of documenting your turbo, and its different measurements. This is great info for those who are looking at doing an upgrade like this. I'm headed...

My New Injection Pump Is Here!

He modified the fuel rate (102cc's on the flow bench), also had the advance curve modified, as well as the governor. It won't defuel from the governor till 4300 rpm. Has a Ford inlet cone with a custom made inlet fitting, and its not maxed out yet. The 102cc was not maxed, and he left me more...

My New Injection Pump Is Here!

My pump, and injectors from DieselPro showed up today, and I have to say that if it performs as nice as it looks, I'll be a very happy camper! The injectors have genuine Bosch Germany 311 marine nozzles, and were popped to 23000 psi. Thanks DP!! I went ahead, and did a Feed The Beast mod on a...

If its local Nate, go take a look at it. If it has the GEP diamond emblem on it, I would jump on it. Take pics.:D Matt
