‘99 K2500 variable speed on wipers not working.

I tried that on the 1998 and ended up just getting a new board. Might try searching wiper board https://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/search/1160717/?q=Wiper+board&o=date

    Goodness, gracious 3bals RV a-fire!

Ok, here's an update with pictures, I just got back from Atlantic, IA (about 120 miles east of Lincoln, just off of I-80) at 11pm an hour and a half ago. Got to Atlantic, IA about 1PM today (8/4) Jody and his wife Connie had already been there a couple of three hours, having left very early in...

    No wipe wipers

Unplug wiper motor connector - does the amp meter still drop? Yes: massive short in wires. No: start with cleaning grounds. ESP. make a new ground from the body to the engine with a battery cable. Junkyard and replace wiper motor. Note the connector likes to crack the solder joints on the...

    88 suburban wipers

Boards where the connector goes in on the wiper motor are known to crack the solder joints. Not sure on OBS, but, the newer ones did. Take the cover off and rework the connector joints - may require the board to come out.

...tank. Way past full indicates an open circuit in the fuel gauge wire. The wipers is a bad park switch. You will most likely need a new wiper board, but you may be able to pull the board, clean the contacts, and regrease them. When it doesn't sense the wipers going to the stop/park position...

    H1 Hummer Cummins Swapped

I knew what a 555 was the moment it was mentioned. It is the heart and soul of nearly every timing circuit known. Back in the very early 1980's, Car and Driver ran an article on radar, how it worked, which detectors available at that time were the most sensitive/accurate and ran several...

    Wiper Motor Recall

Seriously it's just take the cover off and hit the main connector to PCB, Printed Circuit Board, with a soldering iron or soldering gun. You may have to remove the PCB as I don't recall what side the joints are on. I had to do my 1995 and 1993 and the repair has held for four years. Dealer will...

Replaced cruise control servo. Replaced oil pressure sensor. HVAC fan control switch & resistor. Wiper...

Wipers are shaking at some intervals

Did you see cracks in the solder on the old board? Check fuses and grounds for bad connections or corrosion. Then with the board out inspect the wiper motor brushes. Next PIA thing to fail can be the wiper switch.

Wipers are shaking at some intervals

Yep, classic wiper pulse board problem. GM never really learned either as I just did an 04 last month with the same problem.

    Wiper Pulse board

What all does it take to pull the wiper motor completely? I'm thinking about hitting the junkyard if I get a nice day and a helper. Just it case there's something else wrong. The wiper motor does make a noise on the occassions it does not work. Would this indicate the pulse board or possibly...

    Stronger washer pump?

Ah, that's what I'm seeing then. It's the pulse. I thought maybe the pump was going but it will spray just fine when it does spray. Just does that bloody pulse thing......I though maybe it was breaking down. I don't like it but am probably stuck with it...

    Stronger washer pump?

The newer wiper boards pulse teh washer pump squirts now is what causes this. I know my stock 95 sprayed a solid stream al lthe time I held teh washer button, but the replacement board they put in under the recall pulses the spray pattern now like you describe. If your nozzles are open, I cant...

Windshield wipers quit working on the 1998 Suburban Any ideas?

Never noticed it was snotty o'clock. I think everybody is tired of the shoddy parts. I keep eliminating plces to buy from as I get bad parts. I'm going to have to make my own parts pretty soon. I'll be out of places to buy from. The wipers worked tonight. I doubt I'll get to messing with it...

Windshield wipers quit working on the 1998 Suburban Any ideas?

...the issue... HOW it's made is. Everybody wants to cut corners on quality, and I'd pay extra to know I had reliable parts. I think most of the time, you're better off fixing parts like the wiper board, because then at least you know it's done right. Rant over... Sorry for coming off like a...
