Here's the pics of the oil pan and the 24vDD after I ground it out and also the spare GR I had. Motor was spotless inside. Cyls still looked like new with the crosshatch. No cracks visible on the main webbing.
Did I mention what **** the clutch was the bleed ? I had the same issue with my 93..WTF ?
OK, from what I can tell, it does not have a Neutral safety switch. I yanked the tranny back out Friday. I just wasn't comfortable that the flywheel bolts were torqued properly after knowing the fklywheel was hitting the starter. I'll post pics when I can but as I suspected the bolts were not...
Well thanks to a friend in NY I have a nice NV4500 setup from a 93 with everything to put in my 86 K30/M1008. I hope it compliments the 4.56s gears and 35 inch tires. I will try to document as much of the swap as possible. After this then I am going to swap out the v belt system for Serp and...
rob...wouldn't you like my Peninsular upper...:rof:
Nope, aint partin with that one. It was a Bday present from a former respected 6.5 member...
I could look in the Four seasons book tommorow . I know what you are talking about but I don't think they made them for that. They made those repair...
It depends on what kind of smoke. Sometimes it's ok, sometimes it's not. when it's heavy dark grey, that is not. Heavy black either. A blast of black at WOT aint so bad. I've turned up a few diesels in my time most recently a 3208t which required a little finess. You have many things to play...
I don't see the factory crank pulley supporting a blower on top of everything else so call me the skeptic. If I am proved wrong, I will gladly eat those words. It can't support the original config unless someone out there is making someting stronger than the junk coming from China. Even the GM...
I think you will see substainal differences from a DB2 truck to a DS4 truck. I own both. They respond very different. Stick or Auto makes a huge difference as well. You defintely get a "lag" with an NV4500. Even my N/A 6.2 has a lag between 3-4 gear. Also what year and ratio NV4500. That is the...
If the shaft holds..I like it. It would solve my problem. I could easily install an IC anyway. Loads a room on an OBS. DIdn't look at that 7.3 one yet.
As far as using a blower...The idea of not using exhaust backpressure is appealing but the issues I would see it will blower produce more than...
A little known fact too is that when Gates discontinued "8" series belts the problems started for 6.2s. The supposed "beefed" up "7" series is too narrow which is a major contributiing factor to why 6.2's burn up alt belts.
The GM8 was bought from Clearwater not Heath. I don't what him not being a vendor has to do with this discussion.
Ferm, if you can't post the details of the Clearwater GM8 here, Please PM it or post it at DP. I would like to read up on it. I have not heard of it and am in the market for my...
I think doing it running will be ok. It's not like it could get into the engine anyway just the turbo but still. I have no idea on the TM. I always just bought it.
The geometry needs to be right on a TM or you will be forever adjusting it. The only way IMHO to make one would be to copy one. For what it cost, it wasn't worth my time but that was my choice. The best way to drill the ex manifold is to pull the turbo, drop a magnet in and then shop vac it out...
