I had the same code and took it to the dealer and thinking they would replace just the bad one but they replaced them all for the $100 deductable. About 2 weeks later I get a check in the mail from the dealer for the deductable. They said that GM covered the entire cost.
That is true Nick, but I'm seeing threads at other sites where the manufacturer is making it hard on the user for support if not bought from them. I've never needed tech support for my Predator though. Can't say the same about the Hypertech I had though, there tech support wasn't very helpfull.
The egt's get right up there with the predator if you tow, I would go down to the tow setting. I love the programmer. If you don't have gauges get some they help.
The WIX filter I just installed is plastic and I haven't noticed any difference in the way the truck runs. I'm not getting any codes but I'm not driving it much since I'm at work. You are seeing this from just normal driving?
Ok now you've got me wondering about the rattle. I haven't noticed it but will listen tomorrow on my way to work.
I may not do the update as I like the programmer I just wish I could get the speedo right with out setting off the ABS light.
Ok I see the timing rattle part. I guess I've never noticed it. We don't get much winter here in south Texas. I can't remember what all the tool logs. I tried once and didn't get much but I probably doidn't do it right.
I just found this over at Diablos web site.
This new update, in addition to adding support for 2010 applications, has 2 new adjustable parameters for Fuel Rail Pressure adjustment and Injector Timing adjustment.
Timing can be added or removed in .5* increments, while...
Today I pulled the trailer to Galveston to work. I put the Boost stick back in to see what change it made. I noticed that the EGT's were about 200* cooler but my boost went up as expected and my mpg dropped about 2mpg, but I also ran close to 70 mph instead of 65. I never saw much over 1100*...
Thanks
I can easily hit 1200*. I'm seeing around 1000* going up bridges but I'm in 5th & TH and running around 60mph. All other temps are normal.
Like I said it is flat here so when I get to the mountains I'll need to be careful.
Mod's I'm starting this here to see if I get more replys. Delete which ever thread you feel you feel is needed.
I've got a 5th wheel that supposed to weigh 11k empty. What is the highest sustaned EGT's I can run without causing damage to the engine? I've seen almost 1200 going over...
I've got a 5th wheel that supposed to weigh 11k empty. What is the highest sustaned EGT's I can run without causing damage to the engine? I've seen almost 1200 going over overpasses and a little higher going over bridges. It is flat here along the gulf coast but I plan on trips north thru...
Mine aren't leaking but I saw this discussion over on DP about the e-bay vs Tony Burkhard's kit http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=371315
I'm going to try haulin it around without the bags and see how it goes. If I need them I'll get them. Hoping to take it to work next week for a shake down run.
I just bought a semi-new 2011 Cylcone CY3010. :D A friend of mine bought it, used it once then decided he wanted to rebuild his beach house. I got a VERY GOOD deal from him. I'm excited! I've never had a 5th wheel so I'll have to learn how to manuever it around. I'm having a Reese 16k slider...
Your talking about Dow Corning DC-4 we use it at work to keep moisture out of cannon plugs. It rained some today but I didn't have a problem. My '03 did it far worse than this truck. It would cycle thru the settings and wouldn't stop till it was ready. Very annoying in the summer.
