How do I convert metric to standard?

Tire Type The P designates that the tire is a passenger vehicle tire. Some other designations are LT for light truck, and T for temporary, or spare tires. Tire Width The 235 is the width of the tire in millimeters (mm), measured from sidewall to sidewall. Since this measure is affected by the...

    Monster Diesel

Generally, fuel additives restore fuel mileage lost to deposits in the fuel system and combustion area. The idea that an additive can improve mileage on a clean engine in proper tune is kind of far fetched. For example: #2 Diesel fuel has a btu rating of somewhere near 130,500. I'm using...

    Hello fron Very Upstate NY

Mine too, I'm right on the WV border, but my wife is from up that way. I hunt both PA and NY. It's pretty country up there, too bad the gun laws are so ridiculous or I'd consider a move.

    Freakin air filter fell off!

Elevated Silica/Silicon levels in the engine oil is indicative of particulate ingestion (dust in the incoming air). Welcome, and let me know if I can help with the analysis.

Synthetic recommendations for 80W80 applications. (14 bolt, Dana 80, and SM465)

I see no problem with running 75w-140 in the SM465, it calls for a GL-5/MT-1 gear oil. It's a little heavy but will not hurt anything especially since you will be running it in everything else. Ashton

Synthetic recommendations for 80W80 applications. (14 bolt, Dana 80, and SM465)

First, yes all of the gear oils are true synths. The Synthetic Gear Lube SAE 80W-90 (AGL) is ideally suited for large capacity differentials, semi trucks for instance. The Severe Gear series is the best for you application. 75w-90 is perfect for nearly any differential that calls for...

    Wanting a Cummins, Any Info?

Ball joints are a common issue, and interior stuff (window lift switches and such) come to mind right away. Really there are no show stoppers in this era of Cummins IMHO. My brother loves his 03, we're good at ball joints now. Regular maintenance items are not much different than other...
