Looks like you know your way around metal. Im liking what I see and wish we were closer, have you considered add in some metal stiffening across the "C" frame in stress areas, basically making it "square tube/box beam" , I did that on a rotten frame repair on my 1990 GMC C1500s frame.
Hard to see from photo, but sort of looks like you have 4" DWV pipe(thin wall) you are trying mate to schd 40 thick wall pipe both are schd 40 pressure rated but different diameters, if you have potential of root intrusion or possible crushing with driving over it if not buried deep enough, or...
Do you have a decent IP shop close by, maybe they can do a diagnostic test for you to determine if good or bad for not too much money, or can apply cost of test to their rebuild fee, if test determines it needs a rebuild.
I don't think Tech2 (OBD-2) tool is compatible with tech 1 (OBD-1) setup, iirc totally different comupters in PCM chip vs. flashed, also "pin out" of OBD1 plug is different from OBD-2.
For vehicle grounds there should be a post I wrote years ago showing all the vehicle grounds, one of the...
Thank for replies, I'm not sure which PCM I'm running or tune in it, I have multiple PCMs with different tunes, I'll have to check it out when I get home.
I opted on side of caution not wanting to "beat up my truck" with miles more to go, plus being 8 hours away from home, and 6 hours to go to...
If you have been following my posting last couple of days, you might have picked up on that I have left the "flat-lands" and have ventured North via I-10 from MS to I-65 in Mobile AL, to I-85 Montgomery to Atlanta, then I-295, to US-23N into NC bound for Swannanoa NC where I am at present on a...
Changed oil & oil filters yesterday I run Amsoil remote duplex/bypass filter setup with Baldwin filters, and added 12oz. R-134 to AC, test drive SAT. now ready to roll to NC, gonna be out for a bit, see y'all later. Hoping to hook up with Big R who lives about 30 min or so from where our DR...
Yes, pulley hub goes flush with pump shaft, just be sure to not cross thread the installer/"pully pusher" bolt on internal threads in the pump shaft (don't ask how I know this) :arghh:.
Thank you for that, I've always been a little OCD about knowing machinery I work on/own, plus many nights staying at Motel Sixes helped if you remember that old commercial :happy:
Since I just popped back in this afternoon, out of curiosity I'm reviewing some of the more interesting older threads. I have been running a CKO block since 2015 about 50K on it now, I have been away from the 6.5 community for a while, needed to look up some info I had written years ago abut IP...
Thanks for the welcome;
I wonder if it was a late 95 build but sold as 96, my 98 is late 97 build but listed as a 98, there was a crossover if memory serves correctly where they had the filter as you said in yours. I'll have to look up in my library of old 6.5 info; as I think Diesel Page...
What Have I done for my "Beast lately"....getting ready to travel from MS to NC Ashville/Black mountain area work with a MS Baptist Disaster relief Team to restore some houses still without power or water from last Sept. flood to say that pisses me off is an understatement.
Anyway it has been...
That "Block/noise filter" is on the OBD-I IP's not OBD-II 96+ years trucks, some have taken off without incident others it has hurt running without them, all I have ever run is OBD-II so I do not have a lot of "been there, done that" on OBD-Is other than to help others that have them.
"They did ??? who did the timing reset???
If at a "Stealership" and not a 6.5 knowledgeable tech, they may not have done it correctly. I have been having oddities ( rough idle, hard start when cold, and rpm jump/stumble in reverse) in mine after last GM dealer IP install a couple of years ago...
