Stoney, something has to be unhappy in there. I have the same w.pump you do with a Duramax fan and a 180deg single thermostat. My truck will run up to about 180ish before the thermostat opens, and then will usually run about 170ish even at 95degrees outside with the a/c on. Towing stupid amounts...
What?! 90 is a beautiful road! But I did notice that once you're off the the interstate, things deteriorate quickly- thinking of Big Timber out towards the Natural Bridge area (Boulder River).
TRB, if you are not afraid to tweak things yourself, the FIRST thing I would do is remove your new fan clutch. Look at the tab on the bi-metal spring where it anchors into the aluminum housing. It will be 1/4-5/16" long. Straighten the tab out and bend a new one that is about 1/8" of an inch...
I apologize if this is a different direction than what the OP wants to go in, but I've had an AirDog 100 on mine for about 20k now with no issues. Comes as a kit for our 6.5s. Not cheap!
Hoping to add a fuel sump and boost referenced regulator once the daughter's wedding is paid for.
My dad does a little tractor show at his lot in town before the Memorial Day parade.
Most of these will go in the parade with about 25 more that just come for the parade.

Needs a left bed side (it's waiting in the barn), and it has holes in the front of both rockers.
It's waiting on me to finish my shop (almost there)!
I don't feel the need to drop the tank and install a new FSU with big pipes. Mine is new three years ago and works fine. The inside of the tank looked brand new at that point. I have an old tank (junk) so I can measure where Not to drill (so I avoid the box GM installed to prevent loss of...
Has anybody here installed a fuel sump in a gmt400? Which one did you use, where did you drill, and did it ever leak? As soon as my s10 is back on the road I'm going to do one, as I have 1/2" line from before the Airdog to right before the ip.
I drilled a 4" hole in the fender, then attached a piece of sewer pipe. Cutting the hole in the back of the airbox was a challenge, and my alignment is off about 1/4". I then formed the aluminum portion and had a co-worker tig it together for me. I figure I doubled the amount of air available to...
Replaced both gauges as they were having issues. Once I ran it, I realized that the boost gauge (which had lost zero for the second time)was still accurately measuring boost. This led me to discover that I am down 4psi on boost. It still runs fine, but the exhaust wasn't cleaning up like it did...
Yep, lots of reasons to drive a diesel. I just got 20gal for $124. That's enough reason to get my s10 back on the road as soon as possible and park my 6.5. $6.20/gal locally, $6.61/gal twenty miles down the road. Gas is $4.40
Sorry for the bad advice. My striker hole did allow for some adjustment. I used thin washers to move the doors vertically until the body lines were straight, and then adjusted the striker for a nice smooth close.
