I think the Mustang times are traction limited. And GM has a lot of room to make the Camaro superior. The Mustang is about as good as it can get...but the Camaro's "mediocre" (not my words) IRS is nowhere near it's performance max and Ford's fancy 5.0 is still no match for a GM small block...

Oh I hear ya. That is what was quoted on www.gm-trucks.com from a 93 tune. It probably feels like 45HP due to the Satan-like torque management being turned wayyyyy down.

Very true. The company I am working with, Black Bear Performance, deals with EFI Live. That being said, I am getting a 93 octane tune which will net me between 25-45HP and 1-2 better MPG on average. April 24th can't come fast enough.

I'm not sure...but over on www.gm-trucks.com they have all kinds of threads on which is best. I have heard that BB is the best due to capability.

The new ones...as in the GMT-900s? They are...but my cluster is from a 2006 Escalade. Any GMT-800 cluster from 1999-2002 is swappable, and any cluster from 2003-2007 classic is swappable. Thanks for moving...didn't even see the DIY section.

Well...that went well. Monday I was all set on going down to get the amp......but my plans changed when we got an ambulance call shortly before 4pm on Monday (I get off at 4pm). Of course, the place that had the amp closed at 5pm...and was about 35 minutes away from my house. No worries...

OK...I think I found an amp locally...for only $150.00!!!!! It is out of a 2005 Escalade with 75K on it. Now, I am 99.9% sure that ALL Escalades got the LUX amp. But that .1% of doubt is making me confirm that 100% of Escalades received the LUX amp. Am I right? --------------------...

Yeah...from what I understand, some wires need to change locations. BUT...seeing as I successfully swapped a Mercury Marauder cluster into a Crown Vic, this should be a walk in the park.
