I got one today too - Had one run right into the passenger side right at the fender and dmax/2500 emblems.
Thats not the bad part - 3 weeks ago I had a guy pull off at the gas station where I was filling and not take the pump out of his car - It ruberbanded back hit me then my truck and did...
I use firefox on my laptop and in the office. It's much better than IE. Safari comes on my phone so that's what I use there to surf. I also prefer it when I am on the mac too. But I wasn't crazy about the first shot at safari for PC- maybe I should try it again.
SO far so good after resoldering everything yesterday and clearing the codes with EFI Live. Turns out my problem was not tying the wheel speed sensor far enough out of the way.
Thanks for the ideas guys - I glad this fixed it. I was getting tired of pulling these tires on and off the past...
I just replaced my bearings a month ago - I found the problem though. The wheel speed sensor has rubbed up against the tire (I didn't tie it back enough). I have spliced, soldered and taped up the line properly but the light seems to still be on -
I have cleared it now with EFI Live and if...
My abs light keeps coming on and off. There seems to be a slight lack of pressure when I first apply the brakes. It does come back to full pressure but it isn't there when I first apply the brakes.
Kinda feels like a vacum thing to me. Also I noticed last week that one of my brake sensors on...
98000 on mine and still original. But my ABS light came on tonight - I think my fluid might just need to be topped off. Guess I'll be checking that tomorrow.
Little update on the rattling. It's gone! MattyDmax was right - It was the loose shield. In particular it was rattling on the downpipe.
Thanks again guys
I just got finished working on it now. I took off the wheel well liner and tightened the shroud and heat shield near the down pipe. I tapped it with a rubber mallet and found that is where the sound was coming from. I guess the test will be the ride. I'll let ya know if it comes back...
I have duel MBRP's so it's hard to cover it up to see if it rattles that way. But I will climb up under it and try to find that heat shroud. That sounds kinda like it might be the culperate but I'll let you know.
THanks guys
I am on the SouthEast side of Atlanta - Morrow/ Jonesboro. Will be moving to Newnan Aug./ Sept though. Saratoga - my grandma lives up in Dahlonega as well. I am up there often right off Hwy 9.
I am also in Fayettville/ Peachtree city most of the time (fiance lives there).
I have 295 70 17 Nitto Terra Grapplers on my Silverado wrapped around H2's. I have 285 70 17 BFG At's before that. They wore well, I just whated to see how the Nitto's would do. Jury is still out.
The BFG's did great off road - for the first 20k. But as soon as you get out of sync on...
Oh and the important thing about side or back exit exhaust vs stacks is being able to give that subtle hint of smoke to that pesky Honda or Capris Classic tailgater.
I like them - but not on my rig. I like to be a little less flashy. I have Duels MBRP's on my truck now and would only have a single if I hadn't found a steal of a deal on the duels.
