    I have a bad 700r4, can i use a 4l60e/4l80e? i cannot find a 700 for a diesel anywher

    i've got a 1989 6.2l diesel GMC Sierra with 221k miles. It has a 700r4 behind it, and it seems the torque converter is dying, dumping trash into the valvebody and causing the valves to stick.. long story short, i need a TQ converter and transmission. But diesel 700r4's are impossible to find...
