My 94 cranks longer when "kinda" warm ,than when cold.When i plug the block heater in, it cranks longer than when its not plugged in. I have no history on this truck,could the timing be off? It is my understanding that the coolant temp sensor advances timing when its cold.

we had problems with remote starts on older gm vehicles in th mid 90's.Remote start units with built in relays couldn't carry enough current,and the starter would grind like a bad solenoid. the solution was to add a bosch type relay to trigger the starter.

I just changed mine.The gm "synthetic manual transmission fluid" was about 19 dollars a quart. Royal purple was 17 at the zone..IO used gm.(dodge wanted 26).By the way I was grinding going into 3rd,the tran only had about a quart of what appeared to be dexron. It still grinds a little but...

Lucas didn't fix the leaks in my 96 6.5 but it slowed it down considerably.if nothing else,save the bottle and receipt and return to lucas.They show a satisfaction guarantee on the label.
