Pop the old one out with a press easy. New one was knurled around the edge and slightly oversize. Press it in and it also has a clip that goes on the bottom for extra security. I went 3 stage and tacked it in anyway. Lots simpler than on the older trucks grinding forever to get the rivets out...
You can rebuild it cheaper than putting a different rear end under it. First push up and down on the driveshaft near the pinion and see if the pinion bearing is loose.
Too cool here this spring, corn is all way down from average and last year. Haven't done any that was over 110 bushel where last year it was 160, and usually at least 140. Everyone here is way low. Been hearing that a lot on agtalk though, lots of places low on yield. All the custom stuff I have...
Called him today to see if he was adjusting it or I owed for the service call. He said don't worry about it, obviously they had some problem on that one and the rep said just take care of it. Good deal.
Yeah it's the front right on my 8100. We put the same tires on dad's 8100 right before I got these, so we have 3 from the same time that are fine and one that went bad. Haven't heard from the tire guy, keep forgetting to call him and see if his rep looked at it.
Update: The tire blew out the other day. On the outside sidewall it looked almost like it had melted, exposed cords all over. The other side was fine. I wonder if there was some crud on their mold and it had a chemical reaction or something. They came over and put a new tire on and took that one...
Gone already. I found quite a few on that carparts site but there's no pictures and very short descriptions. I think he'll probably just have that cab fixed since at least he knows what else has happened to it.
It needs both rear posts and the bottom piece under the window and the roof. The middle post even on the passenger side is fine. And need the window and door too. Estimate was 12 thousand.
Back years ago the town ran a new power line through our place, put a damn pole right in front of our one pasture gate. Actually several right on our one road too, jackasses. Anyway this one has 4 support wires, 2 of which always break as it sways in the wind every winter. Dad was chasing cows...
Seems excessive, but then even with time spent messing around I bet he still planted it all more than twice as fast as a 12 row. I'd like to have a 24 but I don't want a pull type, 3 point doesn't drag sideways on hillsides. Sometimes the ability to cover some acres fast is worth the screwing...
At the local NH dealer the other day there was a 245 there that was more faded than that with 2500 hours on it... Damn near white on the hood. Crappy paint I guess. Low hours for such fading I thought.
You know the muffler being half white stands out more when you have the rest of it so...
