Well, contact is equal to zero clearance. I don't like the sound of that...
I assumed this is exactly what would happen when the oil started flowing. The shaft will generally rotate within the center of the bearings.
Does anyone else have measurements to compare? I love the idea of...
When I replaced my injectors a few weeks ago, I started checking my turbo for play to see what condition it is in. I was able to check more closely today with a better set of feeler gages. There is very little axial play, but a decent amount of radial play. With shaft pushed away, I have...
Yes, you would hope they took the time to pop test them and set them very close to even. In the morning, I will have a report letting me know how true that is of the Bosch India assembly plant.
I'd love anyone's recommendation. Perhaps I'll call Bill and find out what he suggests.
I bought a set of new Bosch injectors from RockAuto a while back and finally plan to install them. I dropped them off at the local shop this evening (Diesel Services Group) to have them pop tested at a cost of $58 for the set. They will call me with a report in the morning. When I get the...
Finally bought a Flight Systems PMD and installed it. Cruise control is back. The old Stanadyne was installed 7 years ago. Cruise control quit 3-1/2 years ago, but the truck has not stalled once in that time. Oh well, that was $200 very well spent. Too bad I wasn't smart enough to spend it...
Added another 0.5L of TCW3 to the tank today and went for a drive. The truck ran good, and performs as it should during the 2000RPM test. :D
1) Drove 7 miles to my office.
2) Stopped, and shifted into park.
3) Turned off the fan, A/C and radio.
4) Slowly ramped up to 2000RPM.
5) Slowly...
Talked to Bill this morning. He's asked me to run the 2000RPM test. I'm tied up today and tomorrow, so it will be later in the weekend before I have a chance to get to this.
His immediate reaction is failing pump, but won't condemn it until there are test results. No need to throw...
I've been running with 0.5L of TCW3 in every tank (average of 80L per fill) for the last 18 months or so. I will bump that up to 1.0L per fill. Thanks for the tip JiFaire. I'd buy my DS4 chrome plated bolts and fuzzy dice if that's what it took to keep it alive. ):h A little more oil in...
I finally had a chance to go see my buddy at the stealership and hook up to the Tech 2 :smile5:. I felt it was really important to get to it today, because I was sitting at a stop light when my engine revved, and then died. Restarted and ran flawlessly since, but made me wonder... :confused...
