I wouldn't worry about the military using the 6.5l for too much longer. The Marine Corps has gone to the JLTV, Joint Light Tactical Vehicle, which has a Gale Banks based 6.6 Duramax. I saw a couple of the JLTVs driving around 29 Palms a few months back, and they are a ton quieter than the MATV!
I scour craigslist for parts constantly, the problem with being in DC is something 60 miles away means about 3 hours each way! I have a full CUCV drivetrain in my Suburban, going back to the 700r4 means I need to swap the input shaft on my 208 to a 27 spline. Is your CUCV a m1009 or 1008?
Yea I need to call that guy, it would be nice if he put the year up. I am after a np241 transfer case, good headliner boards and good tan manual window door panels as well.
Here you go, even in the shop manual the wiring diagrams say the LL4 engine doesn't use this, but in the 700r4 section it shows the process to adjust it. This must have been an odd ball or mid production change.
Yes sir that is it. I have the factory service manual but unfortunately it doesn't include any part numbers. Plus there aren't any junkyards with square bodies within 100 miles of me.
No the tps on the 700r4 controls the converter lockup. There are a few versions that look the same but do different jobs. The California emissions version controlled the efr on the C motors on manual and automatics. Im looking for the lockup tps for the 700r4 on the J code engine.
