I'm in the same boat. At this rate the truck won't ever be done. Pulled the pan off the motor I built to check on it since it's sat for a couple years now.
My truck is a CCLB 4x4. Originally I wanted to center mount the turbo. Now I'm contending with doing a straight axle swap up front...
I'll have to get some stuff out and take a look at what I have. Been a while since I touched my 6.5 stuff, I did get my truck and motor to the same spot tho yesterday. I know for sure I have a 8' or 10' stick of stainless tube for this. Also I do remember being able to get wrenches in up there...
Possible the exhaust manifolds are a problem? Wtf do you mean it's only a possibility? Helen Keller could spot that one...
I've been planning on building a center mount setup for some time but been too busy with work the last couple years. I went with the delta regrind but almost would like to...
Just wondering who's good for building pumps in this power range. I've been reading up on this DB2831-5722 but haven't seen much for stock power numbers or how to come about getting one... Any help would be appreciated
Thanks,
Joe
Hmmmmmm interesting. I have a muy bien welder co. Welder at home that may be worth trying with this just to see what happens...30ft remote pull line or better of course though haha
Yea but for $140 seriously? Dude it can help build boost faster and lower egts. And if you guys are already doing the centermount setup on it, every little bit helps you know? I'm working on a grind right now...
Well Clearwater cylinder heads is where I got my last set from and it was like $600 or so for them. I think there's cheaper ones out there possibly. Those Chinese knockoffs all come from the same place so it shouldn't matter as you'll have to take those heads to a machine shop to ensure the head...
Hey man you should just call Delta camshafts to get a cam for $140ish w/o core or $90ish with core. Paying $600 for cam and spring kit is not worth it IMO. Delta is a respected company and lots of members here have used them. I also have the part numbers for ARP studs for mains/heads/etc.
