Have a 2011 Chevy Silverado quad cab 4x4. Getting around 12 mpg

Have already switched to synthetic and have started with the fuel treatment (live in southern California so temp is about the same).

I was curious what has been done to the new engine to improve mpg. What mods have you guys done?

Well got the truck back on Friday. The replaced the DEF tank and "refilled" the DEF. Today we leave the house and get the message "Exhaust Fluid Quality Low". So I ran it a little harder than usual on freeway and it cleared the code. Any suggestions?

So out of curiosity what brand of DEF is the best? Dealer is trying to say that we could have used poor quality DEF

Funny you say that.....just got back from dealership and they said bad DEF pump.

We average about 12 mpg towing a 21' Malibu and the truck loaded with camping gear. Much better than the gas equivalent.

Was wondering if you had anymore problems with your truck? Just got that service exhaust fluid system in my truck. The recall has already been done with no mods to truck beside wheels and tires
