My truck runs and pulls great as it is now! I'm just wanting a lil more power and fuel economy when pulling my boats and ATV's plus I want to correct for the larger tires. I don't do any racing so I'm not to hard on the throttle (well not all ways)

I had an 85 S-15 Jimmy the 2.8L & 700R4. The tranny was rebuilt at 225k for the first time and that was not a job I was looking to take on!! sold the s-15 with 305k on the clock. I now have my 87' K5 700R4 tranny on the blitz just after i did a service on it, Worked great for about 2 weeks and...

I work around the new orleans La. Area we sell most of our fuels to the Florida and east cost. Believe or not most of our product don't even get sold were it is made. We also have to contract the fuel for the work trucks.

Tough to answer that I'm on the operations side and not business side. I do know they pay us the same for running the unit that produce either one.
